Far Cry is another well-known franchise created by Ubisoft. While the majority of the games take place in fictional towns within real places, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon offered an interesting retro-futuristic first-person shooter that combined what players loved in the Far Cry franchise with an interesting neon world filled with epic robot dragons.

This theme continues with the weaponry available to the player as well as the sci-fi story to create a Far Cry experience that is unlike any other while also still feeling like a part of the Far Cry series.

Out of all the sci-fi games to be developed by Ubisoft, the Assassin's Creed franchise continues to be a staple of the company's catalog, intricately combining a historical setting with a sci-fi story. This mix was especially evident in past games, such as Assassin's Creed 2.

Throughout the story, players would swap between the historical setting of Italy, where they would play as Ezio, and a modern day setting, where they would play as Desmond. As the story progresses, alien artifacts like the Apple of Eden begin to distort, revealing that something much bigger is at work behind the scenes. This theme continues with future Assassin's Creed games with more of a focus on the mystery that is the Isu. Though Assassin's Creed 2 may not be Ubisoft's most sci-fi-focused title, the game would provide an entirely different experience without the genre's influence.
