Ubisoft revealed its plans for E3 2020 after the games industry event was canceled. The Entertainment Software Association officially announced that E3 2020 had been canceled earlier today, leaving many gamers wondering how developers and publishers would make their huge reveals.

On Twitter, Ubisoft said that although it is "disappointed" by the ESA's decision to cancel E3 2020, it supports the organization. It also confirmed that its own plans for major game reveals will go on, and that it is "exploring other options for a digital experience" which will allow it to "share all of the exciting news we have planned." Ubisoft didn't give fans a date for this digital event, but it seems likely that the company will hold some sort of announcement stream.

Ubisoft hasn't confirmed what it will be revealing in its digital E3 event, but fans will have some good guesses and things that they want to see the company announce, with one of the most popular being a new Splinter Cell game. There are rumors about a Splinter Cell VR game, but fans really want to play a main entry release that is a large, Sam Fisher adventure.

Many fans would also like to see a new Prince of Persia game. Ubisoft has announced a Prince of Persia escape room, but that isn't what many fans have been asking for. There are no suggestions that Ubisoft is developing a new game in the series, though the company could surprise them.

Ubisoft is one of several that will have to make its big game announcements in a digital way. Xbox Phil Spencer has also confirmed that the Xbox E3 2020 event will now be some sort of digital stream. This is unlikely to make fans less excited about the Xbox One X and its games, but it does mean that there won't be any live audience like at other events.

However, there are some companies that had announced or teased their E3 2020 plans, which haven't said what they are doing now that the event has been canceled. Bethesda had teased that GhostWire: Tokyo and Deathloop would be at E3 2020 but it hasn't said if the two games will get new trailers, or if it will even hold a stream. It's possible that some companies didn't have backup plans if E3 2020 got canceled, but more announcements could be made soon.
