Although eFootball and EA Sports FC have long dominated the football video game market, Strikerz Inc. Is introducing UFL, offering fans a fresh, content-packed experience that can be unlocked through gameplay.
Following multiple test versions and a significant launch delay, the game is already available on Early Access for eager players, with the global release set for December 5. What Platforms Is UFL Available On?
UFL will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S. However, Strikerz Inc. Has confirmed that a PC version is in development and is scheduled for release in early 2025. The PC announcement was first made in September 2024 and reiterated during UFL’s Kick-off Show event on November 28, 2024.
Will UFL Release on Mobile Devices?
At the time of writing, the Strikerz Inc. Team is actively developing a mobile version of UFL. This was confirmed by CEO Eugene Nashilov during an interview with YouTuber 2SANDER7 on November 23, 2024.
Will UFL Release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One?
Strikerz Inc. Has confirmed that UFL will not be launching on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. While earlier development stages and the initial gameplay trailer suggested the game would include last-gen consoles, this plan changed as development progressed.
UFL: PS4 and Xbox One Release, Explained
In 2022, Eugene Nashilov, CEO of Strikerz Inc., explained on UFL’s official Discord that the team was “doing a lot graphically and tech-wise to elevate the game’s performance. It has to run at 60fps on a 10-year-old console. We always wanted unified matchmaking for all platforms, but that’s a very complicated task.” Two years later, in early 2024, the official UFL Twitter account reiterated that they were “considering many platforms” but emphasized, “Let’s sort things out one step at a time and not rush.”
Until now, the UFL dev team has not provided any updates regarding a potential port for these consoles. Given the game’s delays and its reliance on Unreal Engine 5, it remains uncertain whether there are still plans to support last-gen hardware. This uncertainty is further complicated by their confirmed releases for PC and mobile, which will require significant time and resources.
