Developer Steel City Interactive and publisher PLAION have finally revealed that the highly-anticipated boxing game, Undisputed, will be released on October 11, 2024. Though this title may not be exactly the same as the classics of yesteryear, sports fans who have wanted to get a new Fight Night game for years might be able to satiate their hunger with the spiritual successor, Undisputed, which is set to launch later this year.
Initially revealed in 2021 under the name eSports Boxing Club (ESBC), Undisputed has caught the eyes of many boxing fans over the last few years due to its stunning visuals and realistic-looking gameplay mechanics. The ambitious nature of the game is especially impressive, considering the fact that Undisputed is the debut title of independent U.K. Developer Steel City Interactive. Though the game has been available in Early Access on Steam since January 2023, it's yet to make its way to consoles and receive its 1.0 launch. Fortunately, though, fans can now know when to expect these things to happen, as the developer behind the upcoming boxing game has provided a big news update.
Undisputed: 13 Best Traits, Ranked
The current traits in Undisputed define a fighter's style but are some better than others.
Steel City Interactive officially announced in a recent trailer that Undisputed is set to launch on October 11, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game is only planned to be released on current-gen consoles and Steam, with no word on ports for Xbox One and PS4 from the developer. Though this may disappoint some fans who are still playing on older consoles, it's perhaps best that Steel City leaves the PS4 and Xbox One behind so that the game's vision isn't hampered by accommodating last-gen hardware.
Alongside the release date, Steel City Interactive and PLAION also confirmed that Undisputed will launch at the price tag of $59.99 for the standard edition of the game. Players can purchase the Deluxe WBC Edition as well, which costs $79.99 and provides three days of early access for those who pre-order, in addition to coming with some extra fighters and cosmetics. A physical version of the WBC edition that comes with an Official WBC Patch will even be available in the U.S. And Canada, though it'll only be sold at GameStop. Those who purchase the game early from GameStop, though, will also get a steelbook as an exclusive pre-order bonus.
Undisputed Could Be the Boxing Game Fight Night Fans Have Been Hoping For
Ever since EA's beloved Fight Night series was put on hold in the early 2010s, fans have patiently waited for years to get a proper successor to those acclaimed boxing games. At long last, however, gamers might finally get what they've been hoping for all this time with the release of Undisputed. If Steel City Interactive's debut title manages to live up to the hype, it could successfully fill a much-needed niche within the sports genre of games. Fans can find out if Undisputed ends up being all it's cracked up to be when it releases later this fall.
