Undisputed's career mode is where you will be spending most of your time in offline modes. Moreover as the studio, Steel City Interactive continues to add fighters and updates to get more longevity.

The career mode is in-depth, but the tutorials aren't descriptive, and getting off to a good start with a created or licensed fighter's career can be tricky. Moreover, negotiating fights can be a minefield if you're unprepared or rush in. This guide will show you how to negotiate fights for more money and a better time to recover between fights.

Undisputed: How To Change Fighting Style In Career Mode

Here's how to switch up your career mode and change your fighting style in Undisputed.

Negotiating Fight Deals In Undisputed

Negotiating fights the right way in Undisputed can be the difference between an undefeated streak and a win-loss record that should send your fighter into early retirement. There are multiple factors to consider when negotiating fight deals in Undisputed, use the following steps to get your boxing career off to a good start.

At the onset of your career, choose fighters with statistics similar to yours. Engaging in bouts significantly above your level will probably result in a loss.

Purse Cut

It's better to let your managers pick the fights for you in the early stages of your career, but you should adjust the Purse Cut. It should sit around 53 to 60 percent for your fighter, but push it up if you can. You should expect low earnings in the early stages of the fight, but you'll need cash to heal injuries and other important factors that will cost you the fight.

Fight Insurance

Always select Yes for fight insurance, especially in the early stages of your career when you're getting used to diet plans and training in Undisputed. Fight insurance provides coverage for fighters in the event of injuries sustained during training or due to missing weight. If your fighter is required to cancel, the fight insurance will cover the fight purse and staff costs. However, be aware that the more you claim on the insurance the higher the premium in future contests.

Training Weeks

The Training Weeks section refers to the period dedicated to preparing for a fight, which includes diet, recovery, fitness, and other aspects. Despite less money, always allocate more time for the next match. This allows your fighter ample time to recuperate and train for the subsequent bout, maintaining your winning streak.

Rematch Clause

In the early stages of your career, switch off the Rematch Clause. There's no point in getting into a series of matches in the lower rankings. You may want to consider it when fighting for a title or a contender spot. High-ranking fights potentially get more media coverage and increase your fighter's fame to give you another shot at the same fighter if you lose.

Fight Promotion

Fight Promotion increases the fame a fighter gets for their fights, increasing their cut of the fight purse for the next bout. In the early stages of your fighter's career, keep it between 1 and 5 percent. Then increase it as your fighter moves up the rankings to a maximum of 15 percent.

Media Activities

The Media Activities section allocates time for fight promotion. It awards your fighter more fame and money but takes up a week of fight camp training. This is why it's important to allocate ample time for preparation before a fight, as previously mentioned. You should only allocate one week of media promotion even in the higher-ranked fights.

Home Fights

The home fighter gets more fame for fighting at home but gets a bigger purse if they are away. It's advisable to vary your experiences in the early stages of your career by alternating between home and away matches. So fight every other fight with a home-field advantage to start. Then decide later if you need more cash or promotion for your fights. That's everything required to negotiate better fight deals for your custom or licensed fighter in career mode.
