Summary

  • Undisputed fans criticize Steel City Interactive over the game's newest DLC pack.
  • The Iron and Steel fighter pack includes seven new fighters and new cosmetic items for $20.
  • Players believe the DLC is "insulting" as the communication between the studio and fans regarding new fixes has been "radio silent for months."

Undisputed fans are blasting developer Steel City Interactive for releasing another paid DLC pack after going "radio silent" for most of the year when the game required a plethora of fixes and improvements. The latest Undisputed DLC, known as the Iron and Steel Pack, features even more iconic fighters, such as the Klitschko brothers, Shannon Briggs, Butterbean, Jai Opetaia, and more.

After releasing a significant update in December 2024, Steel City Interactive remained relatively silent on future updates until February 2025, when it confirmed an April release window for the next Undisputed update. Fans quickly took issue with the announcement, as there were a large number of game-breaking bugs and issues that the community wanted to see fixed long before April. From punch accuracy to scorecard bugs, fans have been begging Steel City Interactive to make meaningful improvements ever since the game's launch in October 2024. While the newest update is finally here, fans have once again been left feeling underwhelmed by the changes made.

Undisputed Fans Blast Iron and Steel DLC

Alongside yesterday's update, Steel City Interactive also launched a new paid DLC pack for Undisputed, which is known as Iron and Steel. The new fighter pack includes seven new fighters, including the likes of Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko, Shannon Briggs, Butterbean, and more. There are also new in-game cosmetic items for select fighters. Unfortunately, the DLC hasn't gone down too well with fans, as many are blasting the new pack as "insulting" and a "joke." Various Reddit users have taken aim at the price, which is $20, with fans such as InTupacWeTrust saying the price point is "crazy," while Matt9257 says," Not a chance I'm paying these ridiculous prices."

It's not just the price point that fans are unhappy about. Many are disappointed that Steel City continues to prioritize new paid fighter packs over a steady stream of gameplay updates. Since the game's launch in October, there have only been two significant updates, alongside some smaller adjustments in between. The most recent Undisputed update launched on April 2 and made some "minor adjustments" to how punch targeting and tracking works, as well as rebalancing block health. Fans were quick to blast the update and call it the "bare minimum," with many still unhappy with the game's punch tracking. The good news, however, is that Steel City is working on a more permanent adjustment for punch tracking that will go live in a future update.

Thankfully, the update finally fixed one of Undisputed's most annoying bugs. According to the official patch notes, players should no longer have an issue with the eighth round being incorrectly scored in online fights. There are also numerous other fixes included in update 1.3, including a fix for online disconnects not giving the correct win/loss to players. However, there are a handful of players who continue to report issues with this.
