Undisputed developer Steel City Interactive has revealed details on the game's next major update, which will arrive in either late June or early July. Alongside a plethora of new bug fixes and improvements, the highly anticipated Undisputed update will also be adding an online multi-queue feature, allowing players to get into the ring faster by selecting fighters across multiple weight divisions. Currently, players can only queue for one weight division at a time, which can often lead to long wait times between fights.

The last Undisputed update came back in early May, making some important gameplay improvements, such as a rework to the game's evasive movement system, stamina changes, and more. While fans were ecstatic to see Steel City release four patches in five weeks, the studio once again disappointed players when it announced the next update would not be released until late June or early July. As there are still plenty of improvements and features being requested by players, the downtime between updates is less than ideal. Thankfully, with the deadline now approaching, Steel City is gradually beginning to pull back the curtain on the next Undisputed update.

Undisputed Shares Details on Next Update

After teasing the next Undisputed update and DLC earlier this month, Steel City has now revealed further details on what fans can expect in terms of features and improvements. In a new post on Reddit, Steel City's community manager confirmed that online multi-queue will finally be added to the game in the next update. This will give players the ability to select multiple weight divisions at the same time when queueing for an online match, which should drastically improve the length of downtime between fights. Fans can also expect improved lighting on PC and Series X/S, tweaks to AI, and more. The current list of changes and improvements can be found in the post below.

At launch, Undisputed received mixed reviews from players, largely due to gameplay issues and bugs. However, Steel City has remained committed to improving the title via new updates. One of the main issues that has continued to frustrate players since the title's release last year is desync issues, but the studio says it is investigating the problem, along with many other things, for future patches. While the studio did note that not all of the things listed will make it into the game, it is currently investigating its hit confirmation system on power punches, while also looking at improving the desync issues, possibly increasing the number of rounds, further refining the stamina and damage balancing, and much more.

It has also been confirmed that the next update will launch alongside another DLC for Undisputed. It's unknown which fighters will be included in the fighter pack, but players have already made it known that they do not support the continued release of paid DLCs when there are so many issues still to be rectified in the base game. Back in April, Steel City released the Iron and Steel fighter pack, which included seven new fighters and various cosmetic items for $20. But fans quickly blasted the pack by calling it a "joke" and saying it "feels insulting" for the studio to release DLC for a "broken game."
