Undisputed developer Steel City Interactive has shared preliminary patch notes for the game's next update, which is aiming for a release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC later this month. While further details surrounding the patch will be shared closer to its release, Undisputed fans shouldn't expect any significant gameplay changes or new content. But, with that being said, there is a substantial nerf for one of the game's most overpowered boxers.
With EA's Fight Night series lying dormant for well over a decade now, Steel City took advantage of the gap in the market and released Undisputed back in October 2024. Unfortunately, the first major boxing game in thirteen years got off to a pretty rocky start with fans. Undisputed launched to mixed reviews last year, and while it remains as such on Steam, the game's most recent reviews have been mostly negative. Many fans complained of a "bare bones" career mode, while others even went as far as to say that the game felt better to play when it was in its early access period.
EA Sports UFC 5 Update Adds New Fighter for May 2025
EA Sports UFC 5 developer EA Vancouver releases another new update for the mixed martial arts fighting game, adding a new fighter for May 2025.
New Undisputed Update Coming This Month
Thankfully, developer Steel City Interactive has remained committed to rectifying the issues fans have with the game via a steady stream of new updates for Undisputed. It has been well over a month since the last major update was released, but the studio has also deployed multiple hotfixes since, and it looks like another is set to launch in the coming weeks. According to a new post on the official Undisputed Discord, a new update is planned for the end of the month, with a handful of bug fixes and a major nerf to the overpowered Sergio Martinez.
Sergio Martinez is a Middleweight and Welterweight boxer who has been available in Undisputed since the game's release, but his fast right hook and incredible speed seem to have slipped under the radar for quite some time. Those who haven't had the chance to take Martinez into an online match of Undisputed will want to do so quickly, as Steel City is nerfing the boxer substantially later this month. According to the official patch notes, which can be found below, Martinez will no longer be able to take advantage of one of Undisputed's most popular traits: Lightning Hands, which increases punch speed by 10%. The boxer's overall punch speed is also being reduced to 90 at Middleweight and 91 at Welterweight.
Aside from a big Sergio Martinez nerf, the next Undisputed update will also include stat balancing for Southpaw speed and a fix for the quit glitch. Steel City says it has also "combated many bugs" for the upcoming update, with further details coming closer to the time of its release. With the patch not set to release until the end of the month, Undisputed players are going to have to wait approximately another two weeks before they can get their hands on a new update. In the meantime, check out the early patch notes for the update below.
