2017's Hollow Knight is rightfully regarded as one of the best games of the 2010s, and that is not just within the indie realm. A gorgeous Metroidvania with 50+ hours of content, challenging combat, and deep lore, Team Cherry's project garnered a huge following that has been waiting for nearly a decade for some sort of continuation. Silksong was revealed back in 2019, but information was hard to come by for the longest time. It reached a point where fans started to worry that the sequel would never materialize.
Fortunately, those fears proved to be unfounded, and Team Cherry confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong will debut on September 4, 2025. Centering around Princess Hornet, the game introduces the Kingdom of Pharloom and follows the protagonist as she tries to reach its peak. So far, Silksong just looks like more Hollow Knight, which is exactly what it needs to be.
