Summary

  • Jewelry in V Rising becomes crucial at gear level 22 and the Blood Merlot amulet.
  • Stunlock Studios provides diverse amulets for different player builds and play styles.
  • End-game jewelry like Amulet of the Blademaster and Amulet of the Master Spellweaver excel.

Getting the best jewelry in V Rising is what separates the middle and endgame experiences. For much of the game, these beautiful rings and necklaces act as accessories to the rest of the gear, working alongside them but not standing out. But after about gear level 22 and the Blood Merlot amulet, these pieces become non-negotiable.

V Rising: Best Spells To Unlock First

There's a plethora of spells in V Rising, and unlocking the best ones early can set you up for success later down the road.

But Stunlock Studios, the developers of the game, provides various amulets that suit differing player builds. One player can optimize for cooldown reduction, while another can instead focus on weapon attack speed. Despite the large diversity in build and play styles, there is still something of a consensus as to the strongest jewelry in V Rising.

Updated on July 17th, 2024, by Juliet Childers: The Gloomrot expansion and full release of V Rising did more than just add a few new pieces of gear. Old pieces already in existence received changes to their statistics and even better items have been introduced into the game. As a result, this entire list had to be redone to factor in new pieces that deserved to be here and change or drop the pieces that were no longer good enough. Find the best jewelry in V Rising at the end of this list. Any non-endgame artifacts have been removed to make way for the only pieces of jewelry that players should plan on getting toward the end of their journey. Depending on build and play strategies, some end-game jewelry may work better for some players than others.

11 Amulet Of The Blademaster

Great For Melee Focused Builds

image of the icon and stats for the Amulet of the Blademaster in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +15% Reduced Blood Drain Rate
  • +12% Weapon Attack Speed
  • 10% chance on primary hit to gain Lesser Storm Shield that can only trigger once every 10 seconds

Although it might be at the bottom of the list, the Amulet of the Blademaster is still one of the best amulets available and may be suitable for a very particular build. The 7% attack speed greatly helps slower weapons complete their full combos more quickly. For Maces and Reapers, this means less time healing up and more time battling. The extra critical strike chance is also nothing to sneeze at, and it has good synergy with the Chaos spell tree.

Crafting Requirements

  • 1 Blood Merlot Amulet
  • 4 Flawless Topaz
  • 12 Power Cores

10 Amulet Of The Master Spellweaver

A Flexible Amulet That Doesn't Deliver As Much As Other Amulets

image of the icon and stats for the Amulet of the Master Spellweaver in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +15% Reduced Blood Drain Rate
  • +10% Spell Cooldown Recovery Rate
  • 10% chance on primary hit to gain Lesser Phantom Aegis that can only trigger once every 10 seconds

While not every build will make the most of the Amulet of the Master Spellweaver, the ones that do will give themselves an edge in both PvE and PvP. Getting abilities back 8% quicker means always finishing cooldowns before opponents do.

Veteran players undoubtedly have noticed that some bosses are even carefully designed around that 8-second ability timer on weapon abilities. When a player can get two rounds in a window vs. Just one with other builds, the value of this amulet becomes evident. The Phantom Aegis passive means that players can spec into the Illusion Magic spell tree, but there is a ton of flexibility with this particular piece of jewelry in V Rising.

Crafting Requirements

  • 1 Blood Merlot Amulet
  • 4 Flawless Miststone
  • 12 Power Cores

9 Amulet Of The Arch-Warlock

Frost (And Crit) Mages Rejoice

image of the icon and stats for the Amulet of the Arch-Warlock in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +15% Reduced Blood Drain Rate
  • +16% Spell Critical Strike Chance
  • 10% chance on primary hit to gain Frozen Weapon that can only trigger once every 10 seconds

This piece used to have a cooldown reduction, which made it more powerful, though it's still not half bad. A confident spellcaster who can avoid attacks might actually find this to be the preferable option in PvE. Their critical hits will start to instantly kill enemies that would have lived before using the Amulet of the Arch-Warlock. Pair it with one of the best weapons in the game to help out with movement and dodging blows, and opt for spells in the Frost category for crowd control and shielding.

Crafting Requirements

  • 1 Blood Merlot Amulet
  • 4 Flawless Sapphire
  • 12 Power Cores

8 Amulet Of The Unyielding Charger

Get Yourself A Lil' Undead Buddy

image of the icon and stats for the Amulet of the Unyielding Charger in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +15% Reduced Blood Drain Rate
  • +8% Movement Speed
  • 10% chance on primary hit to spawn a Skeleton Warrior that can only trigger once every 10 seconds

5% movement speed may not sound like a big deal, but this is often the difference between life or death in PvP. PvE players may also appreciate the help getting across the map more quickly or outrunning enemies they don't wish to engage with. The blood reduction rate also lets them gather resources, raid villages, and dungeon crawl for longer. The Skeleton Warrior passive means that the Amulet of the Unyielding Charger gels well with a build using the Unholy spell tree.

Use one of the best armor sets in the game to get a great PvP build going or use it in PvE for highly mobile loadouts.

V Rising: Best Base Locations

Given only a few Castle Hearts, it's important to build in ideal locations. Certain areas stand out for their vast area and environment.

Crafting Requirements

  • 1 Blood Merlot Amulet
  • 4 Flawless Emerald
  • 12 Power Cores

7 Amulet Of The Crimson Commander

Drain Foes And Keep Yourself Undead

image of the icon and stats for the Amulet of the Crimson Commander in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +15% Reduced Blood Drain Rate
  • +6% Weapon Skill Life Leech
  • 10% chance on primary hit to gain Lesser Blood Rage that can only trigger once every 10 seconds

Spellcasters shouldn't have all the fun when it comes to sucking back health. With extra physical power, players get damage boosts and a higher percentage of health gained back, too. It's great to get both buffs on the same piece. If players forget to repair equipment and get in danger, some savvy maneuvering with the Slasher weapons can be just the ticket with the Amulet of the Crimson Commander equipped. Go invisible, deal some damage, and fade away again to gain health until getting back home. Like the Amulet of the Wicked Prophet, Blood magic can pair well with this, as well as Frost, Chaos, and Storm abilities.

Crafting Requirements

  • 1 Blood Merlot Amulet
  • 4 Flawless Ruby
  • 12 Power Cores

6 Amulet Of The Wicked Prophet

Burst Damage, Life Leech, & AoE — Oh My!

image of the icon and stats for the Amulet of the Wicked Prophet in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +15% Reduced Blood Drain Rate
  • +6% Spell Life Leech
  • 10% chance on primary hit to gain Lesser Power Surge that can only trigger once every 10 seconds

Spell life leech is mandatory in a game that does everything it can to whittle down player health. Paired with a great spell loadout focusing on burst damage, players can enter boss fights, get banged up, and leave at full health as though nothing happened, but this item should not be considered for use by casters only. Players who deal primarily melee damage will often find themselves taking unavoidable hits in combat. The Amulet of the Wicked Prophet allows that player to heal back whatever damage they received while trading blows. Naturally, that means that this amulet pairs well with spells in the Blood magic category.

Crafting Requirements

  • 1 Blood Merlot Amulet
  • 4 Flawless Amethyst
  • 12 Power Cores

5 Blood Key

A Progression Stepping Stone With Very Specific Stats

image of the icon and stats for the Blood Key amulet in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +25% Reduced Blood Drain Rate
  • +75 Sun Resistance Rating

Apart from the four end-game amulets, the Blood Key is one of the last amulets a player can get. The item can only be made after slaying Lord Styx the Night Champion, a level 83 V Blood target found in Gloomrot near Dracula's Demise.

Players can justifiably prefer the other items on this list, since there are no bonus statistics that truly affect combat apart from the raw spell power. It is the first piece of jewelry in V Rising that requires the player to get Stygian Shards from Rift Incursions though. 200 might sound like a ton, but players can loot them in The Ruins of Mortium, get them through combat, and by destroying the crystals in that area. In PvP, the Blood Key mostly serves as a stepping stone to get the end-game amulets.

4 Soul Shard Of Solarus

Command An Undead Army With The Soul Of A Holy Man

image of the icon and stats for the Soul Shard of Solarus amulet in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +15% Spell Cooldown Rate
  • +15% Damage to Vampires
  • 10% chance on primary hit to spawn a Death Knight that can only trigger once every 10 seconds
  • Replaces your Ultimate Ability with unique ultimate Summon Fallen Angel
  • 120-second cooldown

Players can obtain the Soul Shard of Solarus by defeating Solarus the Immaculate -- an endgame boss at level 86 in the Fortress of Light in Silverlight Hills. As with all the unique amulets, this provides a special ultimate ability called Summon Fallen Angel. It summons a fallen angel (of course) that fights for 15 seconds, inflicting Condemn with every attack. This might not sound like that useful of an ultimate, but if a player is running an Unholy skill build, those Condemn stacks can really...well, stack. Additionally, players can exploit the cooldown reduction.

3 Soul Shard Of The Winged Horror

Who Knew Dracula Was A Pet Person?

image of the icon and stats for the Soul Shard of the Winged Horror amulet in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +15% Spell Critical Strike Chance
  • +15% Damage to Vampires
  • 20% chance on primary hit to trigger a Chaos Explosion igniting all nearby enemies
  • Replaces your Ultimate Ability with unique ultimate Voidquake Vortex
  • 120-second cooldown

To get their hands on this amulet, players must defeat Talzur the Winged Horror -- Dracula's pet turned monster -- who can only be reached by bat form. Taking down Talzur gets the player the unique ultimate Voidquake Vortex that lets the player blink from one location to another, creating an explosion that deals 400% magic damage, pulls enemies in toward it, and imparts the Ignite status. The raw power of this ability pairs well with the Souls Shard of the Winged Horror's additional critical chance for spells, so players should focus on cooldown reduction and spell crit chance in their build.

2 Soul Shard Of The Monster

Transform Into The Ultimate Weapon

image of the icon and stats for the Soul Shard of the Monster amulet in V Rising
  • +31.9 Spell Power
  • +15% Weapon Attack Speed
  • +15% Damage to Vampires
  • 20% chance on primary hit to trigger Chain Lightning
  • Replaces your Ultimate Ability with unique ultimate Eye of the Storm
  • 120-second cooldown
Unholy Magic Ultimate V Rising
V Rising: Every Magic Type, Ranked

This list ranks each of the 6 magic types in V Rising, determining the best overall for conquering Vardoran.

Taking out Gloomrot's ultimate boss, Adam the Firstborn, nets the player the Soul Shard of the Monster, and the special ultimate, Eye of the Storm. A part of the Chaos magic spell tree, this ultimate knocks enemies back while also producing a thunderstorm. The bolts hit the surrounding area for 100% magic damage and impart the Static status for 5 seconds. In that time, the lightning strikes about 37 times, so stacking other Chaos abilities helps players get the most out of this amulet and ability. It also works very well for players who favor an in-your-face, bruiser play style.
