V Rising is a vampire-survival game beginning with a vampire awoken from a centuries-long sleep with the goal of thriving in the world by defeating all foes. Killing each boss unlocks new magical spells and items, making the vampire stronger and stronger.
Players will encounter three Soul Shard-carrier endgame bosses in V Rising. Defeating these V Blood Bosses rewards players with their soul shards, thus boosting their strength. One of these bosses is Gorecrusher the Behemoth. Read on to learn how to find and beat Gorecrusher the Behemoth in V Rising
Gorecrusher the Behemoth Location V Rising
Gorecrusher the Behemoth is a level 83 boss in V Rising and the second one in the list of Soul Shard-carrier bosses. Having a history of being a devoted soldier of Dracula, this mad beast is as deadly as one could be in combat.
Gorecrusher the Behemoth resides in the Lair of the Behemoth, located in the northeastern region of the Cursed Forest. The fight takes place inside the lair, making the day or night factor irrelevant.
Like any other Shard-bearing boss, Gorecrusher the Behemoth can also be tracked through the Eye of Twilight, a tracking structure unlocked after completing the Throne of Command quest.
The Soul Shard appears as a white pillar on the Eye of Twilight, giving the precise location of the shard.
In the PvP server, there is only one of each kind of shard, and in case players have already claimed it, the white pillar will denote the current location of the shard rather than the boss, although Gorecrusher can still be found and defeated in his lair. On the other hand, in the PvE server, there are unlimited Soul Shards of each kind, so the white pillar on the Eye of Twilight will denote the location of Gorecrusher along with the Soul Shard.
Weapons and Equipment
- Ideal weapons for this fight are Dark Silver Crossbow/ Sanguine Crossbow and Slashers.
- The best Spells are Mirror Strike, Chaos Volley, Veil of Chaos, and the Ward of the Damned.
- Witch Potions to amplify the spell powers and Scholar blood type for increased damage.
Gorecrusher’s Attacks
Charge Attack
Gorecrusher has the ability to charge down the arena and stun players with his attack, and when he does, players should dodge the attack to avoid damage.
Triple Slam
Gorecrusher does a typical triple slam on the ground, resulting in crack formation. These cracks erupt immediately and cause serious damage to players standing on them. Therefore, make sure to step away from the cracks.
Leaping Attack
If a player is at a significant distance from Gorecrusher, the dangerous V Blood Boss might leap toward the player, causing an AoE damage shown by a circle under his damage radius. Players should consider running away from the circle if they find themselves in a similar situation.
Animal Summons
At 70% HP, Gorecrusher summons two deadly animals; a bear and a wolf, to attack the player. Both these animals are hard to beat because of their long health and aggressive attacks. This will be accompanied by a charge from Gorecrusher himself to take down the player.
Wisp Dance
Wisp Dance is a special ability of Gorecrusher that unleashes when his HP drops to 50%. It involves the emergence of blue wisps from their point of origin in all directions. Coming in contact with these wisps causes severe damage to players.
Spectral Clone
When the HP of Gorecrusher drops down to 30%, he unleashes his most lethal attack, i.e., a spectral clone of his own that mimics all his moves and takes the attack to the player. This clone can never be killed but can be stunned for a few minutes if attacked ferociously, after which it comes back to attack the player. Since this clone is actually the soul of the Gorecrusher, killing Gorecrusher automatically eliminates it as well.
Strategies
- As opposed to the Winged Horror, keeping a distance from Gorecrusher can backfire as it allows him to make Leap and Charge attacks on the player. Staying behind him can be a good way to stay safe, though.
- The Dark Silver Crossbow and Slashers are very handy weapons for this fight. Slashers can help dodge Gorecrusher’s attacks as well.
- Veil of Chaos is a great travel ability that allows players to outrun the leap, charge, and slam attacks.
- Chaos Volley is a magical spell that shoots two chaos firebolts at the opponent. This is the key to defeating the wolf and bear summons. Since the wolf is the weaker one, players should consider targeting it first.
- Since the blue wisps are launched all around the point of origin, bringing the boss toward the edge of the arena when he is approaching 50%, HP can drastically reduce the effectiveness of the Wisp Dance attack.
- The best defensive spell to use in this fight is Ward of the Damned. Not only does it provide a barrier against the opponent’s attacks, but it also summons a skeleton for each attack absorbed, shifting the enemy's focus from the player to the skeleton, thus giving time for the player to attack.
- Be careful with the timing of the Ward of the Damned spell because casting it during the Animal Summons may make Gorecrusher think of the skeleton as the opponent as well. If so, he may summon extra wolves and bears to deal with it, thus doubling players’ work.

Below are the rewards that players can claim after defeating Gorecrusher the Behemoth:
