Vampire Survivors has unveiled yet another expansion, this time collaborating with the Square Enix RPG series SaGa. Over a dozen new characters have been added to the game, plus a slew of new items, evolutions, and more. The Emerald Diorama DLC is completely free, too, but some Vampire Survivors players are having trouble unlocking the new stage.
While the Emerald Diorama expansion is free and easily accessible to all Vampire Survivors players, there's still a pretty big roadblock that prevents new players from immediately jumping into the SaGa DLC. Players need to explore an existing map and discover a new secret item to gain access to the SaGa expansion, and that new item has a hefty price tag to boot.
Vampire Survivors Abandons Anticipated Feature for PlayStation Versions
The developer of Vampire Survivors reveals that the popular game will abandon an anticipated feature in its PlayStation versions.
How to Unlock Emerald Diorama in Vampire Survivors
To begin the SaGa DLC in Vampire Survivors, players must first unlock the Emerald Diorama stage. A special item called the Emerald Disk is required to unlock the new stage, and players can purchase it from a new secret merchant hidden in the Moongolow stage from the base game.
The merchant is all the way on the left side of the Moongolow level. He's marked with an arrow and an icon like every other special item in this stage, but he's the only thing on the left side so he's easy to find among the cluttered icons. The merchant sells the Emerald Disk for 50,000 gold. It's a one-time purchase and he doesn't carry any other products, so players won't have to visit him again. The Emerald Diorama DLC must be installed for the merchant to show up. Even though it's free, some players have been forgetting to download the expansion before booting up Vampire Survivors.
If players are short on cash and cannot afford the Emerald Disk, then the earlier Vampire Survivors levels are great for farming gold. The 50,000 gold asking price may seem steep at first glance for new players, but it shouldn't take too much grinding to save up for the Emerald Disk.
After purchasing the Emerald Disk, the new Emerald Diorama stage will be permanently unlocked in Vampire Survivors. Players can then explore the new map and start figuring out how to unlock all the new SaGa characters and evolve all the new weapons. Even though it's a free DLC, Emerald Diorama still has a ton of content for Vampire Survivors fans to enjoy.
