In Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, you'll play as a legendary vampire known as the Nomad, but due to a series of unfortunate events, you'll find yourself drained of most of your power. Like all the bloodsuckers in this wonderfully dark world, you'll get to pick which vampire clan your Nomad belongs to.
Every vampire clan in Bloodlines 2 comes with their own style and theme, from blood mages to shadow dwellers and the typical Bram Stoker-style vampire that people may already be familiar with. Your experience with the game will differ based on what Bloodlines 2 clan you choose to start with, and if you're not sure which one to pick, here's a guide to help you out.

Best Clan in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
- Tremere
- Brujah
- Toreador
- Ventrue
- Banu Haqim
- Lasombra
Truth be told, your choice of vampire clan in Bloodlines 2 all boils down to personal preference. Players can get all the skills related to each clan through gameplay, which means you aren't necessarily locked or restricted to playing as only one type of vampire, and your initial choice won't have a significant effect on the overarching story of Bloodlines 2.
We based the ranked list above based on how easy it is to use the respective clan's fighting style. Tremere is our top pick because of its focus on ranged attacks and blood magic, which makes combat a lot easier in the vast majority of situations. Brujah is a very close second for the same reason, though this clan focuses more on pure strength than ranged attacks.
Tremere
The Broken Clan
Tremere vampires are mainly blood magicians who use the blood of their enemies and their own as weapons. They can turn blood into blades and enemies into living bombs, making quick work of problems that try to get up into their faces. The Tremere clan in Bloodlines 2 have fewer powers for mobility and crowd control, but if you want to turn someone into a fine, red mist, then they have the best tools for the job.

Brujah
The Learned Clan
Brujah is known for being a clan full of hot-tempered radicals and outcasts. Unlike the Tremere, they prefer to solve problems with their fists, violently clobbering anyone who stands in their way with superior strength and speed. In Bloodlines 2, Brujah is the perfect choice for players who love a good brawl, and if you want to unlock off-clan skills for your character, Brujah brawling techniques are great options.

Toreador
The Clan of Divas
Graceful and seductive are the best words to describe the Toreador clan. They use their charming nature to enthrall mortals, turning them into temporary allies in a fight, or easy prey when stalking the streets. While they aren't as powerful in combat as the Tremere and Brujah, Toreador vampires can easily control the flow of battle by bending the wills of their enemies, all while looking as stylish as possible.

While they can fight just as well as most vampires, members of the Ventrue clan prefer to let their problems take care of themselves, either by making them fight each other or petryfing them with their commanding presence.

Vampires from this clan are extremely quick, so much so that time seems to bend around them, and they have the ability to become completely invisible. In-game, they cater to players who prefer stealthy playstyles.
