To many, the Call of Duty franchise has gotten a bit stale. However, the surprise announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 during the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase seems to have broken though the noise. The sci-fi and dark atmosphere present in the teaser suggests that developer Treyarch will be taking this entry in the long-running FPS franchise in a different direction. But will it be different enough?
