In RPG games where you control a party of multiple characters, it's not uncommon to have a large section of different Classes that players can choose between. This lets them customize characters to their playstyle, and explore different combinations, party compositions, or how various options may synergize better with one another in combat.

Visions of Mana is no different, offering a range of different classes that players can use with the five different playable characters. If you're wondering how many Classes are available in the game, as well as some key details about each one, then you can find all the information you need in the guide below.

Visions of Mana: What are the Colored Crystals for?

In Visions of Mana, you will encounter a range of colored crystals in various locations you journey through. This guide covers what to do with them.

How to Unlock Classes in Visions of Mana

visions of mana characters-1

In Visions of Mana, you unlock Classes by equipping Elemental Vessels to a character for the first time. As soon as you equip an Elemental Vessel, the new class will be unlocked and registered, with the option to switch freely between them at any point.

However, you can only have one Elemental Vessel equipped to a character at a time, meaning you won't be able to double up on elements. This allows you to be clever with the Classes you choose to utilize for each character and play to the strengths of their skills, as well as your own playstyle.

Elemental Vessels unlock naturally as you progress through the story, usually at significant events such as the end of a chapter, or overcoming a boss fight.

Here is a complete list of when each Elemental Vessel unlocks:

  1. Sylphid Boomerang (Wind) - Unlocks through progression of Chapter 1
  2. Luna Globe (Moon) - Unlocks through progression of Chapter 1
  3. Undine Flask (Water) - Unlocks through progression of Chapter 2
  4. Salamando Candle (Fire) - Unlocks through progression of Chapter 4
  5. Gnome Shovel (Earth) - Unlocks through progression of Chapter 4
  6. Dryad Sprig (Wood) - Unlocks through progression of Chapter 4
  7. Lumina Lantern (Light) - Unlocks through progression of Chapter 5
  8. Shade Sight (Darkness) - Unlocks through progression of Chapter 5
