Visions of Mana: All Playable Characters & How to Change…

As an RPG game, Visions of Mana enables players to control a party of different characters that each have their own unique strengths and weaknesses, and rotate them in and out of play as needed. This creates quite a bit of flexibility to find your preferred playstyle, favorite Classes, or even to try out new elements or team compositions to see how they play out in combat.

With five different playable characters in the game and eight different Classes available for each character, there are many possibilities when it comes to setting up your 3-man team for exploration and battle. All Playable Characters in Visions of Mana

In Visions of Mana, there are five different playable characters that you will befriend and unlock along the way during your journey to the Mana Tree. You will begin your playthrough as Val, the main protagonist, and unlock the following characters in order:

Careena
Morley
Palamena
Julei.

While Val is the main protagonist, you do not even have to use him at all, if you wish - other than being forced to control him during certain town visits. You can run a combination of any three of the five characters at a time, controlling one of the three and having the others support you as teammates. You can also switch which character you are actively controlling inside and outside of combat while changing your party composition is locked in battle.

How to Switch Characters in Visions of Mana

Y ou can change your team composition in Visions of Mana by entering the menu (ESC key), and simply pressing the UP or DOWN arrow keys to toggle the team lineup editor. Here, you will now be able to rearrange which character you are playing, and the two teammates you wish to join you in combat.

In combat, switching characters is as easy as pressing the UP and DOWN keys, again. Keep an eye on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen to see which way the characters will rotate when you swap.

With clever timing of character swapping, you can dish out some hefty combos and follow-up attacks, or even switch in to deal critical damage with a Class Strike.
