For those players who want just a basic summary of what the mechanic does, Consecutive Casting allows two spells to be cast simultaneously at a speed that is essentially equivalent to only one of the spell's casting times. For example, if a fan uses Consecutive Cast with two spells that each have casting times of three seconds, both spells will be cast in approximately three seconds rather than six.

Visions of Mana: How Does Consecutive Casting Work?

The first step toward engaging with the Consecutive Casting mechanic is equipping a Visions of Mana character with a Consecutive Casting Ability Seed. To perform that action, players must simply navigate to the Gear/Skills menu, select Abilities, and then choose the desired Seed, and it is important that the character who is equipped has access to at least one spell of the Seed's type. For example, the Consecutive Casting: Moon Ability Seed should only go to a character that has at least one spell that deals Moon damage.

Once a suitable Consecutive Casting Ability Seed is equipped, players should assign at least one spell of the Seed's type to the equipped character's Ring Menu. To put a spell on the Ring Menu, JRPG fans should navigate to the Gear/Skills menu, select Moves, and then choose the desired spells.

Players should make sure that they are assigning the spells that they want to Consecutive Cast to the character's Ring Menu, not their Shortcuts.

Players should now initiate a fight, take control of the equipped character, and access their Ring Menu. For full clarity, fans of Mana games can change the character that they are controlling by pressing up or down, and they can access their Ring Menu by pressing left or right on a d-pad (or Q or E on a keyboard).

Players should now highlight a spell with the same type as the equipped Consecutive Casting Ability Seed and look to the right of its name. Action RPG fans will see the words "Consecutive Cast" in that position, and they should press the associated input. Players must then simply select a second spell of a suitable type, or the same spell that they selected previously, and confirm a target.

Visions of Mana players will now see that the character casts both spells simultaneously, bypassing the casting time of one of them. While this effect has little impact when using weak spells with short casting times, it helps a great deal when casting powerful spells that take a long time to occur.

Consecutive Casting bypasses the shortest spell's casting time, not simply the casting time of the second spell that is selected.
