How to Farm XP in Visions of Mana

In Visions of Mana, XP gained is shared across all of your characters, including both active and inactive party members. This means that once you know how to farm XP, you will be able to quickly level up every character in your party. There are a few different ways to boost the amount of XP you earn in Visions of Mana. Combining multiple techniques when possible can be highly beneficial. However, a couple of methods stand out as more consistent and reliable than others.

Make Use of Battle Bonuses

Battle Bonuses are a set of conditions that can be met each time you start a new encounter, so fighting in areas highly populated by enemies will provide consistent opportunities to achieve Battle Bonuses.

Players may only earn one bonus from each category per fight.

Here is a list of all Battle Bonuses in Visions of Mana and how to earn them:

Acquire & Use XP-Boosting Cookies

The other primary way to quickly boost XP is with the use of certain items known as Cookies. There are three different kinds of Cookies that players can obtain. The easiest way of acquiring them is through purchase from one of the various Dudbear markets you'll frequently pass during your adventure. All information regarding Cookies, such as the XP boost percentages provided and how long each item lasts, is listed below:

Interact With Valorflies

Valorflies are small red bugs that you may find on certain spots on each map. Interacting with a Valorfly will cause all enemies within that area to become more ferocious, but at the benefit of doubling all XP gained within the Valorfly's timer duration. Leaving the map area in which the Valorfly was activated will not cause the XP boost to carry into the next area. This method is great for farming combat against enemies in one specific zone.

Collect 20 Lil Cactus

In Visions of Mana, Lil Cactus is a creature that players will first automatically stumble upon in Rime Falls. Following this first encounter, they will be able to find a hidden Lil Cactus in almost every area. After collecting a certain number of Lil Cactus, players will unlock some beneficial perks. One of these perks is a permanent +50% XP boost to all encounters for the rest of the game. Keeping your eye out for this little critter can result in some handy rewards.

Farm Strong Enemies

Last but not least, players can earn more XP by defeating stronger creatures, such as higher-level enemies in the area you are currently exploring, or Nemesis. This can be quite time-consuming, so it's recommended to pair multiple methods mentioned above for the most beneficial result in a short amount of time.
