More recently, the popular sandbox unveiled new features in anticipation of the release of A Minecraft Movie, which will hit theaters on April 4.
One of these was the release of Minecraft's surprise DLC in partnership with Tourism New Zealand, the country in which the movie was filmed. The expansion adds locations inspired by real destinations in the country, such as Kapiti Island, Abel Tasman, and Waitomo Caves. Later, McDonald's teamed up with A Minecraft Movie, launching a variety of toys, collectibles, and even a game-themed dipping sauce. In addition, the fast food chain included A Minecraft Movie Happy Meal for kids and a version of it for adults. Now, the game is revealing more exciting content for fans to enjoy.

In this “first-of-its-kind” and "story-driven" experience, players will be able to enter an exclusive Minecraft Java server that will be available from March 21 until May 15. On this server, players and their friends will experience an adventure that begins on Earth and unites everyone in missions across different planets to find the “Golden Child,” who left Earth to fulfill a dream. To access the Minecraft server, players can go to the official website and follow the instructions to access the content.
Walmart Launches Minecraft Collab In-Game and IRL
Simultaneously with the launch of the server, Walmart has launched new Minecraft merchandise, including items inspired by the movie. Fans can purchase a variety of collectibles, including the exclusive Wild Boss and Great Hog 2-Pack Figures, priced at $19.97, and Netherite Sword that costs $10.97, as well as a Squid Pillow Buddy, priced at $16.88. Another way of acquiring the collectibles will be through Walmart's Skyward Discord server, where they will be featured and can be "seamlessly purchased."
