There are several categories or species of companions available, but robotic companions are some of the most diverse in Warframe. These range from floating sentinels that accompany players to robotic canines that offer unique advantages throughout both the early and late stages of the game.

Most Robotic companions require two companion slots, one for the companion itself, and one for its weapon.

Taxon

With You Since The Beginning

The Taxon sentinel is one of the first companions players will receive since it is tied to one of the initial activities in Warframe. To unlock it, players will need to complete the Venus Junction on Earth to get its blueprint.

One of the main advantages of the Taxon is its main mod, Molecular Conversion, which transforms damage dealt into shields for the player's Warframe. Taxon also comes equipped with its main weapon, the Artax, which deals cold damage, freezing and slowing enemies down for a better chance of survivability.

Nautilus

Part Of The Crew

The components for Nautilus can be acquired by completing Railjack missions, specifically in Neptune Proxima. It is also in Railjack nodes where this companion shines. Nautilus includes the mod Auto Omni, which helps the player with repairs and extinguish the fires inside the Railjack.

It also includes the Cordon mod, which pulls enemies into a specific area, perfect for repelling ship invaders. As its weapon, Nautilus has the Verglas, a weapon that fires a beam of cold and uses rifle mods. For both new and veteran players doing Railjack runs, this companion will be a great help.

Some Sentinels have a Prime or Prisma version in addition to their standard form.

Custom MOA

The Enemy Of My Enemy...

While ranking as one of the most frequent enemies of the Corpus faction, MOAs can also be companions. To build them, you will need to level up on the Venus faction, Solaris United. After leveling up and having enough standing, you can buy MOA parts and assemble them from the merchant, Legs.

To build a MOA players will need four main components: the Model, Core, Gyro and Bracket. Each component can be selected from a handful of parts. These parts have their own unique stats and mods; some include more offensive perks, while others offer additional health or shields. It is up to the players if they want to build a MOA for defense, offense or a hacking assistant.

Helios

A Scanner Best Friend

Corpus in design, Helios can be a great help both for new players and veterans. With its scan capabilities, it can assist players with codex scans. It can also highlight enemy weaknesses, for even veteran players who are having a hard time with high-level combatants.

Helios can be acquired from the Dojo in the Energy Lab section, as well as the Fieldron, one of the components necessary to build it. Helios comes equipped with its Deconstructor weapon, which works as a throwing melee weapon and uses melee mods as well.

Carrier

Unlimited Ammo

In looter shooters, ammo capacity is always an essential element to have at its best, and for Warframe this applies as well. With the Carrier companion, you won’t have to worry about ammo anymore, as it will convert ammo and will have extra ammo space thanks to its Ammo Case mod.

For survival and long missions, this companion is a must. With its Sweeper default weapon, which fires strong shotgun rounds, it will be a great companion for both early and late game content. The blueprint for Carrier can be acquired from the market for 100,000 credits.

Hounds

Bad, Good Boy...

Similar to MOAs, Hounds are created with the merchant Legs with four components, Model, Core, Bracket and Stabilizer. However, the method of obtaining their parts is probably the most difficult of all companions. You must vanquish Sisters of Parvos to obtain random Hound blueprints.

Each Hound also has their own unique weapon, the Lacerten, Batoten and Akaten, which do mainly Impact and Slash damage. Like the beast companions that need to be mature for combat, the Hounds need to be Gild to fully use their max potential. The process can be completed with Legs as well, if you have high enough standing with Solaris United.

Dethcube

The Lethal Companion

For players looking for the best offensive advantage, the Dethcube companion will help with eliminating enemies both at long and close range, as well as giving the player energy to continue any streak. The blueprints for the Dethcube can be purchased from the market.

The Dethcube comes with one of the most powerful companion weapons, the Deth Machine Rifle. This weapon deals high damage per second at long range. For close range, Dethcube has an additional attack with the Vaporize mod, a radiation laser beam, making it one of the most lethal companions in Warframe.

Djinn

Sentinel Of All Trades

A jack of all trades, Djinn is an infested sentinel companion that deals great damage, while also helping the player with defensive capabilities. Djinn can be acquired in the Dojo’s Bio Lab section.

Djinn’s Stinger weapon fires toxin darts, while the Fatal Attraction mod lures enemies closer to it and then attacks them with the Gazal Machete.

Djinn is also equipped with the Reawaken mod, which reduces its recovery time. If combined with the Sacrifice mod, it will sacrifice itself for its downed owner and recover quickly for battle. This mods combination makes Djinn the most reliable robotic companion in all Warframe.
