The Archons in Archon Hunts are currently the most difficult bosses in Warframe. They're the endgame content that a lot of veteran Warframe players have been asking for in the past years, and Archon Hunts will certainly challenge players to the best of their abilities.
Players going in unprepared and uninitiated will have a bad time. Some of these Archons are notorious for having so many invincibility phases while others can kill some warframes with just a love tap. Hence, the primary purpose of a warframe in Archon Hunts is to survive so that weapons can do their work. These following warframes do that job effortlessly.
10 Revenant
Revenant is arguably the toughest warframe right now thanks to his second ability, Mesmer Skin. This gives him an invulnerability shield that only gets depleted through attacks. It has a modifiable number of counters, and this translates to how many attacks Revenant can shrug off until he becomes vulnerable.
Thankfully, Archons don't whip up attacks too rapidly or in quick succession. This makes Revenant practically immortal during Archon Hunts as long as he keeps refreshing his Mesmer Skin. By then, the only work left is to have weapons that can damage the Archons. Consequently, having Revenant in an Archon Hunt makes the ordeal a lot easier.
9 Nidus
Like Revenant, Nidus has a couple of immortality gimmicks up his sleeve. The most notable is his passive ability which consumes 15 Mutation Stacks in place of death. All Nidus has to do is keep topping up this stack (the default maximum amount is 100).
Apart from that, Nidus' third ability, Parasitic Link, is more than handy since it transfers the damage that Nidus would receive to an enemy he chose. It doesn't work on bosses, but thankfully, there's no shortage of minions in Archon Hunt boss arenas.
8 Inaros
While Inaros has mostly been overshadowed by warframes like Nidus and Revenant when it comes to staying alive, he's still an impressive endurance fighter especially if equipped with Adaptation, Arcane Grace, and Arcane Guardian. In case he does "die" and enters Bleedout mode, he can revive himself within a set window.
His fourth ability, Scarab Swarm, also works well in keeping him alive and works well in conjunction with the aforementioned mod and Arcanes in mitigating damage. It's not as foolproof compared to Revenant's Mesmer Skin, but players will still be able to join Archon Hunts comfortably with Inaros.
7 Nezha
Nezha is one of the more underrated warframes on the roster when it comes to Archon Hunts. His third ability, Warding Halo, provides a massive damage mitigation shield but it has one weakness, it only prevents 90 percent of incoming damage. The other 10 percent wedges its way into Nezha's health.
That's why it's important to have backups like Adaptation, Arcane Grace, and Arcane Guardian so that Nezha remains practically unkillable unless he's hit by an irrationally huge source of damage, which Archons don't employ too much, if at all.
6 Ivara
Archons can't hit what they can't see, and when it comes to staying invisible, Ivara is one of the undisputed queens of Warframe. Her third ability, Prowl, renders her invisible while draining her energy, meaning she's hidden as long as she has the energy to spare.
After that, it's just a matter of bringing out a cheese weapon like the Archon Killer Kuva Hek build and one-shotting the Archons. It's worth noting that Ivara gets a headshot damage bonus from Prowl, making her the ideal candidate for cheesing the Archons.
5 Baruuk
Thanks to his synergistic abilities, Baruuk is able to maintain 90+ percent damage reduction. His passive ability in combination with his fourth ability, Serene Storm, makes him tough. If that's not enough, then his first ability, Elude, grants him 100 percent evasion when he's not attacking.
Through this, players can toy around with Baruuk's abilities to rhythmically avoid some attacks. He's a bit more complicated to use for immortality compared to simple warframes like Revenant or Inaros, but he's certainly more interactive and enjoyable.
4 Wisp
Wisp's strength comes primarily from her first ability, Reservoirs. These grant her stationary buffs that increase her health and regeneration, speed, and crowd control abilities. The health buff alone is usually enough for Wisp to survive Archon Hunts.
If not, then Wisp can safely keep herself invisible by gliding through the air thanks to her passive ability and is deadly with silent or melee weapons such as Exodia Contagion Zaws. In co-op, Wisp is often seen as a valuable team player thanks to her encompassing buffs.
3 Octavia
Octavia is one of the most "complete" warframes in the game and she can do almost any content solo, from Tenet Sisters to Archon Hunts. It will take longer but with the right precautions, Octavia can kill the Archons with her first ability, Mallet.
Players will have to combine this with her second ability, Resonator, to keep the Archons away from them while also activating the invisibility granted by the third ability, Metronome. Of course, don't forget the fourth ability, Amp, to increase Mallet's damage. Overall, players will be using all abilities in order to win against Archon Hunts in a slow but sure victory.
2 Wukong
When using Wukong in Archon Hunts, players need to be reactive and attentive since this warframe will be relying on his third ability, Defy, to conserve his death counters. In order to heal, the second ability, Cloud Walker is also a good way to take a short break from the fight though it also requires good foresight and reaction time.
Players might want to replace the fourth ability, Primal Fury, with something like a subsumed Eclipse or Roar. This way, Wukong gets access to a significant buff to his weapons, be it primary or secondary, making the Archon Hunts faster and less dangerous.
1 Chroma
Chroma just might be the whole package when it comes to fighting bosses. Because his third ability, Vex Armor, gives him a huge armor buff while also increasing his damage based on how he gets hit. His second ability, Elemental Ward (Cold) also works similarly. If paired with standard damage mitigation mechanics like Adaptation, Arcane Grace, and Arcane Guardian, Chroma can relaxingly dispatch Archons.
Just make sure to always keep Vex Armor active. Moreover, players can also replace Chroma's first or fourth ability with something like Roar or Eclipse for even more damage. So far, not many bosses can withstand Chroma's stacking buffs, and Archons are no exception.
Warframe is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
