One of the biggest Nintendo Directs ever (roughly an hour long) is taking place on Friday, September 12, 2025. Nintendo has promised information on Switch 1 and Switch 2 games, and because of the extra length, many are hoping for information regarding the 40th anniversary of Super Mario (new Mario game, perhaps?)

What's Going to Be in the September Nintendo Direct?
We don't know! However, we can speculate! Nintendo's lips have been shut tight as to what will actually be shown during this hour-long presentation, but there are a couple of games that are still awaiting a proper release date, such as Metroid Prime 4 and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonmen t. I suspect we will get confirmed dates for these two, and perhaps two of the bigger third-party releases, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition and Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Besides that, I think we can expect a couple of remasters, ports, and classic games coming to the Switch Online apps. There's also the chance that we learn about a major entertainment "thing" related to Nintendo, such as a new movie announcement (there are rumors swirling already about a Super Mario Galaxy movie). We'll just have to wait and see.
