As Wednesday season 2 starts to creep around the corner, supernatural fans are hoping they'll see one beloved member when the show returns. Even though the spooky Netflix series would be more suited to release in the fall, Halloween, to be more precise, Wednesday is set to return this summer to bring a bit of a gothic vibe to fans' sunny skies. This time around, viewers will see a whole host of new characters joining the Addams Family cast as the series prepares to take on Nevermore Academy once again. However, one fan-favorite character has been missing from the show, so fans are wondering if they will make an appearance in season 2.

Starring Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, Wednesday season 2 will also cast a magical spell on new cast member Lady Gaga, who will play Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary teacher at Nevermore Academy who crosses paths with Wednesday. Another new character, Grandmama Frump, is played by Joanna Lumley, who is the mother of Morticia Addams and Wednesday's grandmother and is described as "formidable", "emotionally cold", and "sharp-tongued", someone (unsurprisingly) the stoic teenager looks up to.

Wednesday Fans Would Love To See Cousin Itt Make an Appearance in Season 2

Over on Reddit, a Wednesday fan posed the question about whether Cousin Itt could appear in season 2 of the popular Netflix series when it returns. User JudySurferGirl stated that almost all the Addams Family members have made their way back to the series, like Lurch, who didn't have much of a role in season 1 and has now been recast for season 2, as well as Grandmama Frump, so there's really no reason as to way the quirky character shouldn't be part of the series now.

Some fans think that Cousin Itt, a diminutive, hirsute being who has extraordinarily long floor-length hair, could make a cameo in Wednesday season 2, if they don't make a full-on appearance. "I think he’ll make a cameo. Because if you look at the Nevermore school website, he is there under notable alumni, and he doesn’t have the design of previous shows/movies, he has a new design that matches the show," said one commenter in the post, while another stated, "Maybe a cameo or we will see Itt in season 3." According to previous reports in 2023, Jenna Ortega said that she would "love to see Cousin Itt drop by," so it's certainly a possibility.

Right now, there haven't been any confirmed reports that say Cousin Itt will be in Wednesday season 2, but maybe the showrunners are keeping it a secret to surprise fans. Either way, to not include an iconic and beloved character like Itt would certainly be a shame, as "It" would fit brilliantly into the show's weird and mysterious vibe. Here's hoping a cameo is on the cards, at the very least, or that the character is talked about in some fun story between the show's main characters.
