  • Ortega describes Lady Gaga as talented, kind, and reserved, creating a positive on-set environment.
  • Season 2 of Wednesday, set in Nevermore Academy, holds mystery as fans await further surprises and cast announcements.

Wednesday fans are getting excited about returning to Nevermore Academy this year more than ever as the Netflix series ramps up its story with new characters joining the cast. Now that production on the show has officially been laid to rest (pun intended), Jenna Ortega has nothing but positive things to share about working with Lady Gaga after the two worked together on season two of Wednesday.

It has been over two years since fans last saw the gothic-loving family and Jenna Ortega's dark teenage character with the best dance ever, and now that Lady Gaga has been added to the list of cast members, fans can't wait to see the pair's on-screen chemistry. So far, Gaga hasn't revealed very much about what character she will be playing when Wednesday rolls back around, but the iconic singer did recently share that she had "an amazing time" in her, for now, secretive role. Wednesday's supernaturally infused mystery tells the story of Wednesday Addams as she becomes a student at Nevermore Academy. While attempting to hone her powerful psychic ability, she ends up trying to solve a puzzle from her parents' past while also getting roped into a local murder mystery. Wednesday Season 2 is on its way to Netflix sometime this year, but before that, Ortega has some things to say about working with the show's newest cast member.

Wednesday Season 2 Needs To Be Absolutely Amazing Or The Wait Wasn't Worth It

After a long gap between seasons, there is an expectation level that Wednesday season two must.

Jenna Ortega Gushes About Working With Lady Gaga on Wednesday Season 2

To promote her upcoming movie, Death of a Unicorn, Ortega recently discussed her work with IndieWire. During the conversation, Ortega talked about her experience working with Lady Gaga on the set of Wednesday Season 2. Ortega said that Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was "the best" and "one of the most talented individuals I’ve ever worked with."

“It’s the best. She’s the best, definitely one of the most talented individuals I’ve ever worked with. It was just a really, really special environment to be there with her and Tim [Burton], two people that I respect and have been inspired by so much.”

However, it wasn’t just Lady Gaga’s talent that brought such joy to Ortega’s time on Wednesday's set; it was also the singer's wholesome personality, which seemed to come as a surprise to Ortega. “Then just finding out that she’s such a sweetheart and really kind and reserved, it’s very strange,” she said. “I love that you never know what to expect from her, but you can always expect kindness and generosity.”

Ortega's time in Wednesday season one saw her become headline news due to her now famous dance scene where she danced to Lady Gaga’s 2011 hit, Bloody Mary. For those wondering if Ortega and Lady Gaga discussed her legendary moves while working together, apparently, it wasn't brought up at all. “No, actually, we didn’t. I don’t think we did. We should have. Actually, I can’t remember. Maybe I just saw an interview clip of her talking about it, because I feel like I’m fabricating this story in my head, but I think honestly on that day, we all were just so lucky that she came to do the show that we kept it as normal as we could.” Said Ortega.

As for now, Wednesday season two has yet to get a release date, with only a 2025 window, but hopefully, there will be some more surprises and maybe even another cast member before then.

I Don't Want Tyler To Be The Wednesday Season 2 Villain

Tyler Galpin is coming back for Wednesday season 2, and I think Hunter Doohan's Hyde Monster character needs a more positive storyline.
