Peak is a fun co-op survival game where players must use their mountaineering skills to scale the tallest of cliffs to progress further into the game. As the days progress, you'll experience different biomes, including a snowy region of the Alpine. As with all the other biomes, the Alpine comes with its fair share of hazards that you must be wary of as you scale the snowy peaks. So, the Heat Pack will come in handy when you're trying to ward off the effects of the cold.
How to Fix PEAK Voice Chat Not Working Issue
Some players have been experiencing issues with the Peak voice chat as it's not working for them, here are all the fixes to resolve this problem.
What are the Heat Packs in Peak?
The Heat Pack is one of the consumable items in Peak that players will find scattered around the snowy Alpine region. As you scale the ice-capped mountains, you'll experience frost build-up, which makes climbing quite hard. In addition to contracting the frost status effect from the snow, you'll also randomly see a message that the fog is rising. The fog is a time-pressure mechanic that will urge you to quicken your pace, and players caught inside it will quickly build up the frost affliction.
To counter the frost build-up from environmental factors, one of the best items to use is the Heat Pack. The Heat Pack can be used to remove the frost ticks from your characters, allowing you to restore your stamina/health bar and resume climbing like normal. These especially come in handy if you or one of your teammates is caught in a blizzard and needs immediate relief from the frost buildup.
The Heat Pack will remove 144 points of frost buildup over 60 seconds and does not weigh anything. If the item is cooked in a campfire, it additionally grants +10 bonus stamina points.
The Heat Packs in Peak are primarily found within various luggage items scattered across the environment. They're a random drop, but have an increased chance of dropping due to the common rarity of the item. If you don't prefer playing with environmental hazards like fog being on, you can play in the Tenderfoot difficulty mode. This mode makes the gameplay mechanics easier, allowing new players to learn the ropes before attempting to scale the Alps on the default difficulty for Peak.
