Players will get to wield godlike powers in Titan Quest 2, but much of those won't be available until later in the game. Apart from leveling up and finding the right gear, players will also need to increase their Divinity, the main factor that decides what sorts of powers they'll be able to use as they try to defy their fate.

Unlocking Divinity is fairly simple, and doing so is the key to making the best builds in Titan Quest 2. If you're wondering how you can get your Divinity as high as possible, here's a short guide to help you get started.

What Does Divinity Do in Titan Quest 2?

TQ2 Divinity meter

Divinity is essentially the game's means of gating abilities behind a tiered progression system. Active and passive skills in Titan Quest 2 are separated by tier, and to unlock more, players need to gain more Divinity.

The first tier of abilities is unlocked right after you interact with the red shrine on Proti Island, and you'll get your first six points of Divinity once you reach and clear the second one. To increase your Divinity, go to the Masteries menu, select your chosen Titan Quest 2 class, and press the Plus button on the lower-left side of the screen.

Tier 2 abilities are unlocked once you invest 6 Divinity into one class/mastery. Meanwhile, Tier 3 is unlocked once you invest 18 Divinity total. Divinity is not shared between classes/masteries, which means you'll need to find a way to get more points if you want to multiclass.

How to Get More Divinity in Titan Quest 2?

Titan Quest 2 Divine Challenge rewards

If you want to get more Divinity points in Titan Quest 2, you'll need to do any of the following:

  • Level up
  • Complete Divine Challenges
  • Complete certain quests

Leveling up will always reward one point of Divinity, so if you ever need to get a few more points to unlock the next tier of skills, you can always roam around the map and fight things until you get the points you need.

Divine Challenges involve finding and absorbing Titan Ichor, which players can usually find as they're doing TQ2's main quests. Interacting with Titan Ichor will cause waves of enemies to spawn — defeat them all, then touch the Titan Ichor again to receive up to 5 Divinity points.

Lastly, some sidequests in Titan Quest 2 may reward players with Divinity, though finding them can be a bit of a hassle. While we don't have a full list of quests that reward Divinity just yet, these missions will eventually become invaluable for players who are planning on doing a second or third campaign playthrough.
