If you've played Fortnite before, you may have tried playing not only Epic Games' official game modes like Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, or Lego Fortnite but also other community-created ones. There are a whole bunch of them, but even experienced gamers might not know that they are also called Creator Made Islands.

Creator Made Island are maps and modes that were created by the community, meaning other players. If you have never played such modes or maps before, be sure to try it because sometimes it is even more interesting and exciting than the usual Battle Royale.

Compared to the official game modes, there are many more creative ones created by ordinary players. You don't need to do anything special to play one of them. You can choose the desired mode and launch it directly in the lobby. Creator Made Islands, along with the official game modes, will be displayed in the Fortnite Discovery tab, which you can access by scrolling down while in the lobby.

Distinguishing between the official game modes and Creator Made Islands is extremely easy, as the first ones are marked with the Epic Games logo. This logo is displayed in the upper left part of the title image of each of the official modes. These modes are also easy to spot, as they are always placed in the first rows of the Fortnite Discovery tab. As mentioned above, there are not many official modes, but only 10, and you can find them all below:

  • Battle Royale
  • Competitive Cups
  • Fortnite Festival Jam Stage
  • Fortnite Festival Main Stage
  • JokeNite
  • LEGO Fortnite
  • Ranked Battle Royale
  • Ranked Zero Build
  • Rocket Racing
  • Zero Build

So, all except these modes can be considered Creator Made Islands. On Creator Made Islands, you can find whatever you want, such as horror maps, deathrun, hunger games, and anything else you can imagine. So, if you need to complete a quest related to Creator Made Islands, relax, go with the flow, and try playing on different maps to see which ones you like best.
