Elden Ring Nightreign drops the player into the world of Limveld, where they must avoid the Night's Tide and survive until Day 3, when they face off against the Nightlord. The game introduces a system of Relics that players can equip before starting an expedition. Each character has three Relic slots, and Relics can be equipped at the Relic Rites altar near the Table of Lost Grace.

Since each character can only use Relics of specific colors, players will often accumulate extra Relics they can’t use. This guide explains what you should do with those unused Relics to make the most of your loadout in Elden Ring Nightreign.

How To Sell Relics In Elden Ring Nightreign

After you have completed the tutorial and gained a basic understanding of how the game functions, you will be placed in the Roundtable Hold, where you can interact with several NPCs—some of whom are playable characters. Look to the left of the Table of Lost Grace, and you will spot the Relic Rites altar.

This altar allows you to select Relics for every character, but if you move to the far right, you will find a ninth tab where you can sell all of your Relics. You can press L3 on your controller to filter the Relics by a specific color or type. This feature enables you to sell all Small or Medium Relics that you might not currently need.

Should You Sell Relics In Elden Ring Nightreign?

To defeat the Nightlords, you must complete Expeditions, and with every run—regardless of whether you succeed or fail—you will receive Relics as a reward. These Relics are randomized, meaning there is a higher chance you will obtain ones that you do not need and will likely never use. This raises the question of whether or not you should sell the Relics you have no intention of equipping on any of your characters. The reasons may vary, such as the effects being underwhelming or the Relic being of Small rarity, offering only a single effect.

The answer is quite straightforward—if you need the Murk you obtain from selling Relics, then yes, you should sell them. Even the lower-tier Relics can generate a substantial amount of Murk, which you can then use in a variety of meaningful ways:

  • You can purchase Relics from the Small Jar Bazaar. The randomized Relic costs 600 Murk, and if you do not receive a worthwhile one, you can simply sell it again to recover some Murk and continue cycling through potential options.
  • After completing the second Expedition, you will unlock access to the Mirror, which allows you to change your character’s Garb. Each character has two costume options available for purchase using Murk, with additional outfits becoming accessible after completing the game.
  • You can also purchase Gestures and Relic Rites—the latter becomes available after finishing the first Expedition.
