It's been a great six months or so for fighting game fans, with new installments of Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Tekken all dropping over the course of this period. The last of these to arrive is Tekken 8, which is scheduled for release on January 26, 2024. The game will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S and promises to be one of the biggest and best Tekken games to date.

With this in mind, many people are keen to find out the exact release time for Tekken 8 so that they can start playing the game right away. Thankfully, due to information provided by the PlayStation store, players can get a pretty good idea of the Tekken 8 release time, which will presumably be the same for those who plan on buying the game on PC or Xbox Series consoles.

Tekken 8 Release Times (When Can You Start Playing?)

Tekken 8 will be released at 3 PM PT on January 25. Unlike a lot of other modern titles, the game will be released simultaneously worldwide rather than at midnight local time, ensuring that everybody gets to start playing at the exact same time. With this in mind, those who live in a time zone other than PT can check the following table to find out when Tekken 8 will be available in their specific region.

Those who pre-order Tekken 8 on PlayStation 5 will be able to start pre-loading the game from 3 PM PST on January 24, or 48 hours prior to the Tekken 8 release times listed in the table above. Although it's yet to be confirmed as of the time of writing, it seems safe to assume that Xbox Series players will also be able to preload Tekken 8 around the same time, though it's possible that PC players will have to wait a little longer, with Steam pre-loads of some popular titles only being available 24 hours before release. According to various sources, the file size for Tekken 8 will be at least 80 GB at launch.
