When Does the Item Shop Refresh in Fortnite?

The Item Shop's refresh schedule has been the same since Fortnite launched; it refreshes every day at 8 PM EDT or 7 PM EST - it depends on the time of the year. Every 24 hours, the Item Shop will refresh simultaneous across the entire globe; however, the exact time depends on each player's timezone.

It can be particularly confusing to figure out when the Item Shop refreshes due to daylight saving time in March. From March 9, 2025, until November 1, 2025, the Fortnite Item Shop will refresh at 8 PM EDT.

Players can check the exact time that the Item Shop will refresh according to their local timezine by visiting the Shop tab in Fortnite and pressing the Shop Refresh Info button. A pop up will appear with information regarding the player's exact Item Shop refresh time.

When Does an Item Leave the Shop in Fortnite?

In 2024, it became mandatory for Fortnite to include exactly how long an item would remain available in the Shop. This happened so gamers wouldn't feel pressure to purchase cosmetics before the Item Shop refresh item in fear of it leaving afterwards.

To check when a specific item will leave the Item Shop in Fortnite, players must select it in the Shop tab and then check out the information displayed in small print on the bottom left corner of the screen. Here, gamers can see the time and date that an item is scheduled to leave the shop.
