In situations where the player might feel outnumbered, they can resort to the various consumables. One such item is the Bewitching Branch, which temporarily turns enemies into allies. This guide explains where to find them and how they work in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Where to Find Bewitching Branch In Elden Ring Nightreign
As almost all the loot in the game is randomized, you cannot visit a location expecting the Bewitching Branch to be there. However, there are still a few locations with a higher chance of acquiring this consumable, so these should be your priority. Bewitching Branches are mostly inside Supply Crates that can be found all over Limveld. However, as you will most likely visit the Churches to get your flask upgrade, you must break through all four of the crates to possibly find the Branches inside. There are also crates in Forts, Ruins, Castles, or other locations marked on the map.
There is a way to ensure that you have at least two Bewitching Branches at the start of each run, but even this relies heavily on the randomization of the game. After each Expedition, success or failure, you will get Relics with random effects; one of these effects can be having the Branches in your possession at the start of the Expedition. If you can somehow manage to get this Relic, you can use these Branches on the enemies as soon as you land in Limveld.

Bewitching Branch is a consumable that players can only carry two of in a single slot. That means the maximum you can carry is ten, given that you have purchased the Small Pouch from the merchant for 5,000 Runes. When you use the item on the enemy, you will be unable to target them until the effect fades away, but you can still damage them if you want.
These bewitched allies will help you take down the other enemies, so the items are quite useful to have in locations like Encampments, where there are a lot of Soldiers and Misbegotten enemies.
Having the ability to bewitch an enemy does not mean that it will work on every enemy. These items usually only work on normal enemies and not the larger enemy types, so be sure you are not wasting your consumables on enemies that will not be affected.
So the question arises—are these items worth it? The answer is simple: if you find these items on your way, you should definitely pick them up and use them whenever you are in a pinch. However, do not commit your entire inventory storage to these, because they do not provide that much utility over the other, more useful consumables in Elden Ring Nightreign.
