The Scavenger set in Dying Light: The Beast isn't the most practical one to wear for combat, but if you want to stock up on crucial crafting materials and resources, then these are definitely the duds you want to use. Each piece of this set increases the amount of stuff you can scavenge throughout Castor Woods, and much like the Explorer set, the Scavenger armor can set you up for success if you use it early on.

There are plenty of goodies scattered throughout the game, and the Scavenger set is one of the things players can grab just a few hours into Dying Light: The Beast. Here are all the locations that you need to raid to find every piece of this set.

Where to Get the Scavenger Headset in Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light Scavenger Headset Map Location

First, the headpiece. You can get the Scavenger Headset in the basement of a small Nate Market grocery store south-southeast of the Old Town Hall. This area (like every other one in this guide) is a Dark Zone, areas that are full of sleeping (and some not-sleeping) zombies. You can sneak through them, or you can take them out stealthily with a bow or crossbow.

To get the Scavenger Headset, unlock the door leading down the basement, then in the room adjacent to the main loot room, open the vent in the corner. The headset is on top of a small table near some boxes.

Dying Light: The Beast Scavenger Pants Map Location

You can find the pants for the Scavenger set in a Vanity Store east-southeast of the Old Town Hall. It's very close to the courtyard, and you should see the icon for it as soon as you reach the town hall.

Here, all you need to do is reach the loot room by picking open the locked door. The pants are on the shelf to the right of the door.

Where to Get the Scavenger Boots in Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light The Beast Taurus Megastore location

The boots for the Scavenger set are inside a locker in the Taurus Megastore, which you can find just above the map marker for the Recreation Island Tower Safe Spot. The megastore is a large, red-brick warehouse, and the entrance is hidden between some stacks of cardboard boxes near a parked truck.

Dying Light: The Beast Scavenger Boots

You can find the boots in the break room at the very back of the store. There are a lot of infected here, including two Screamers. Sneak past them, or beat them down, but do try to take a minute to loot the store itself. It's full of valuable resources.

Taurus Megastore is the perfect place to activate Beast mode. Once inside, go crazy and rip everything apart to make things faster.

Where to Get the Scavenger Arm Wraps in Dying Light: The Beast

Dying LIght: The Beast Scavenger Arm Wraps map location

As for the Scavenger set bracers, they're inside another Nate Market, but this time, it's across the bridge south of Town Hall. The grocery store here is much bigger than the last one, and there should be three Screamers inside plus a whole bunch of zombies.

Sneak or fight through the crowd, then get to the break room at the back. Pick the door open, then climb through the open vent. The Scavenger bracers are next to the dead manager.

Where to Get the Scavenger Chest Piece in Dying Light: The Beast

The Scavenger Reinforced Shirt is in a Vanity Store in the Villa Area, and you can get to it by heading straight to the right of the previous Nate Market's map marker. The layout of the Vanity Store here is similar to the one near Town Hall, so you should have no trouble finding the Scavenger shirt in the backroom.

You can also get the Lucky Duck Charm blueprint in the backroom of this Vanity Store. This increases the number of Common Craftparts you get while looting, making it the perfect complement to a full set of Scavenger gear.

Where to Get the Scavenger Gloves in Dying Light: The Beast

The final piece of this armor set is in yet another Nate Market, but in the Farmlands region. To get there, exit the Vanity Store above, then follow the road west. Once you pass the freeway intersecting with the road, you'll end up in the Farmlands, and the Nate Market store you're looking for should be nearby.

Thankfully, this Dark Zone isn't as big as the last one. Get rid of the undead, then make your way to the basement. Much like the grocery store near Town Hall, you need to crawl through a vent here to get to the main loot room. The Scavenger Fingerless Glove is inside the locked cabinet.

What Does the Scavenger Set Do?

Dying Light: The Beast Scavenger Set bonus

While wearing a complete set of Scavenger armor, you get the following bonuses:

  • +36% Common Craftparts loot
  • +18% Uncommon Craftparts loot
  • +24% Damage (Accessories)

If you find yourself constantly running out of Rags to make Bandages or other healing items, or if you want to craft a few more Weapon Mods to round out your loadout, then raiding other Dark Zones while wearing a full Scavenger set is definitely going to be the play. This will affect the amount of craftparts you get from all sources, including the ones you get from looting zombies and mercs.

It's a bit unclear what Accessories are in the armor tooltips, but in Dying Light 2, these referred to throwable weapons like molotovs, grenades, mines, and throwing knives. If this same definition still applies in Dying Light: The Beast, then the Scavenger set is going to be an excellent choice if you rely on using these items.

Players who are looking for an armor set that's better suited for fighting should instead get the Mercenary set, which increases the damage you deal when hitting headshots while reducing the damage you take from the infected. It also reduces the recoil of firearms, making it a well-rounded set. You can find its pieces by climbing up certain watch tower Safe Spots throughout the map.
