Where Winds Meet has become quite a popular game among fans of the Wuxia genre, and it is such an overwhelmingly big game that there's a chance players don't know how many activities they can enjoy in the Online or Solo Mode. Some activities can only be enjoyed in Solo Mode, and if players want to reach 100% completion of this game, they will have to face these challenges bravely by themselves.
The path to becoming the strongest Martial Artists is full of bumps, but if readers want to grasp a notion of which activities are exclusive to the Offline mode of WWM, here is a list of all the things that are Solo-Mode Locked in the game.
How to Get All Trophies/Achievements in Where Winds Meet
Here’s a complete trophy guide to help you earn all of the achievements in Where Winds Meet.
Enjoy The Main Story Mode
Meet Memorable Characters And Have Fateful Encounters
The Main Story of Where Winds Meet will put players in the role of a mysterious orphan trained by Uncle Jiang (the guy from the intro scene) and left under the care of the Matron of Heaven's Pier. After the 'Young Master' or 'Young Wanderer' is thrown into the middle of a dangerous power struggle between the Aureate Pavilion and those who protected him (or her).
Players can enjoy this thrilling tale of love, loss, and face formidable foes along the road to becoming the top martial artists of the Jianghu and Qinghe regions. As they explore the world in Solo Mode, players will have countless Fateful Encounters that will lead them one step closer to the pinnacle of martial arts. Currently, the story unlocks in intervals (time-gated), and new content for the story is dropped each week periodically. Meaning that if players reached the current level cap, and finished the available Story Mode Quests for the week, they will need to wait until the reset on Monday for the following part.
Where Winds Meet: Tips & Tricks
Master the art of Wuxia action RPGs with these beginner tips for Where Winds Meet.
Obtain Martial Arts
Learn By Observing The Masters And Stealing Their Techniques, Or Uncover Long Forgotten Manuals
And speaking about Martial Arts, every new Martial Arts or Mystic Arts (or Inner Path passives) is learned through exploration and special Solo Mode Dungeons that cannot be enjoyed in Co-Op or Online Modes. These dangerous places require the use of wits, stealth, and some puzzle-solving to reach the optimal spot of observation, where the young wanderers can observe powerful masters perform their arts.
Players will have to search far and wide for the clues leading them to discovering the most powerful techniques in the Qinghe and Jianghu regions, and also delve into dangerous lairs of powerful Martial Sects to steal their techniques and get a better grasp of how each of the weapons in the game works. It's not an easy task, and players will have to do it in Solo Mode.
Wandering Path Solo Challenges
The More Players Progress In The Story, The Harder These Become
Each of the Solo Challenges from the Wandering Path (unlocked after beating Story Mode or Side Quest Bosses) is a powerful foe that players can challenge repeatedly to earn various rewards, which include cosmetics, gear, and advancement materials. Though the World Bosses and Side Bosses can be challenged in Co-Op mode, the Wandering Path Solo Challenges automatically lock players in the offline version of the game, testing their survival skills to the maximum.
Even worse: The difficulty escalates as they unlock new levels of the Solo Mode, so be extremely careful when challenging these bosses. Some might even have new abilities and mechanics they didn't have the first time they beat them.
Special Events & Collectibles
Special Events, like time-gated Side Quests, Seasonal Quests, or Event Quests, can only be done in Solo Mode. Such is the case of Criminal Hunts, The One Leaf, One Life event, Mini-Game events, Healing NPCs, Aiding NPCs, Disguise Heists, Gift of Garb Challenges, or the Melodies of Life Oddity Collection Challenge.
There are a lot of activities in the Solo Mode, and these are only a few examples of the currently available ones (the Chinese version has even more areas to explore, events to complete, and so on). Sadly, these activities and their progress can only be done in Solo Mode, so it's up to players to fend for themselves in the merciless Jianghu as they search for new opportunities to increase their power.
Best Early Builds (Path Progression) in Where Winds Meet
If you want to optimize your early game progression in Where Winds Meet, here are a few ideas to help you get started.
Side Quests & Wandering Path Trials
As mentioned previously, Side Quests are Solo Mode activities that players will be able to complete to earn tons of rewards, with the most important of them being EXP and advancement materials needed to upgrade weapons, Martial Arts, Mystic Arts, and basically everything related to the character's Martial Arts Level.
Warrior Path Trials are Solo Activities that condense everything that players have learned throughout their journeys in the Solo Mode, and will require them to use all the mechanics and Mystic Arts they discovered as well. Some of these Trials might become unavailable unless players unlock the required Mystic Arts to overcome certain puzzle mechanics. Currently, there are only a few of these Trials available, but as the game releases more content and the Story Mode progresses even more, players will be able to enjoy more of them.
