However, there are a few tricks you can use to beat Wolf Maiden in Where Winds Meet more easily, but before we delve into the intricacies of her boss fight, you'll need to know how to actually find her first.

Where Winds Meet offers a little something for everyone, but the Wuxia RPG struggles under the weight of its own grandeur.

Where Winds Meet Wolf Maiden Boss Location

You may have already seen Wolf Maiden's location on your map; she's at the southeastern tip of the Kaifeng region, just past the brunt of the Granary of Plenty area. Her boss arena is marked by a red mask icon, and it's just by the eastern end of Desperation Ridge. There's a Boundary Stone near her location, so tag that first. You're going to need it.

The thing about Wolf Maiden is she only appears at night. If you go to her arena at any other time, it'll be empty. You can either wait for night to arrive, or you can change the time of day in Where Winds Meet. Set the clock to any time past the Xu hour (19) to make Wolf Maiden appear.

How to Beat Wolf Maiden in Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet Wolf Maiden Exhausted
Where Winds Meet Wolf Maiden Stance Broken

Like with all bosses in Where Winds Meet, you'll need to spend some time familiarizing yourself with Wolf Maiden's moves before you can beat her. Her attacks are fairly predictable, though she has some quick moves that are difficult to react to.

The first thing we recommend is using an AI companion during the fight. Use whoever's available to you, but if you want to have an easier time fighting Wolf Maiden, you'll want to keep your buddy alive for as long as possible. Using the Stormbreaker Spear to taunt the boss is a good tactic for this.

As a general rule of thumb for boss fights like this, you'll want to save your big attacks and long combos only for when your target is Exhausted/stance-broken. Focus on squeezing light or heavy attacks between Wolf Maiden's combos, and focus on deflecting/parrying her moves until she runs out of Qi. When she's Exhausted, go ham with your attacks before pressing the button on the screen to finish your move. Rinse and repeat until she's down.

Your biggest opportunity to deal a ton of Qi damage against Wolf Maiden is during her long, 9-hit combo. It's fairly easy to parry once you get the timing down, and as long as you mind the delayed attack at the end of the combo, you'll be able to drain a lot of her stamina without taking damage. She does this move fairly often.

Any of the Wolf Maiden's attacks that don't glow gold can be parried. This includes the delayed slash attacks she does during her second phase can also be deflected.
