Mercyheart Town is an area that's part of Qinghe in Where Winds Meet. There are many Wandering Tales to be completed there, and one of them is the Broken Buddha, which involves a character called Yang the Youngest. Players will pick up an ominous statue and need to find out its origin in Where Winds Meet.

To start the Broken Buddha Wandering Tale in WWM, head to the Mercyheart Town Landmark Bounding Stone and walk slightly northwest to find a giant statue destroyed on top of a house.
Approach the Buddha statue and pick up the small Cursed Statue found next to it. The description says that it may belong to someone in Mercyheart Town.
Open the menu and pass the time until it's the Chen hour. This will spawn a small child called Yang the Youngest. Show him the Cursed Statue, and he refuses to touch it as he believes it will harm him.
After players reveal they got it from under A'lai Yang's house and suggest that maybe he put it there, Yang the Youngest reveals that's impossible, as A'lai passed away, and he only sees the Buddha Flower Emissary near the destroyed house.
Now, open the menu again and pass the time until it's Xu hour. Turn northeast where the Buddha Flower Follower and the Buddha Flower Emissary are standing around some worshiping villagers of Mercyheart Town. Approach the emissary and give him the Cursed Statue.
Players will confront him and reveal that he put the statue there, as the Yang family is not on the statue. The emissary gets angry and tells players to stay out of it because the three remaining major clans (Zhou, Pan, and Xie) bullied the Yang family and don't deserve Buddha's protection.
After threatening players to keep their mouths shut or else, the Buddha Statue Wandering Tale quest is complete, and you will receive many rewards:

- 10 Qinghe Exploration
- 2,500 Coins
- 3750 Character EXP
