Where Winds Meet features an extensive character creator that can let you sculpt the perfect martial arts master, and to make things even better, the game also has a large selection of cosmetic options for you to use, from hair dyes, various hairstyles, makeup, and of course, outfits.

The icing on the cake here is that all of these can be changed even after you've finished creating your character in Where Winds Meet. However, while basic changes like hairstyles and clothes are free, total makeovers require a specific item that's a little on the rare side.

The Appearance menu has sections for pretty much everything, from your character's hairstyle and clothes, to the effects of your abilities, your mounts, and even your idle pose. Explore each of these sections, and you'll find what you're looking for soon enough.

Additional hairstyles, clothes, and cosmetics can either be earned through gameplay, brought from stores, or obtained via gacha rolls. Where Winds Meet is a large game, and you can get plenty of stuff just by playing.

Can You Alter Your Character's Appearance in Where Winds Meet?

If you want to change your character's physical appearance, you'll need to use one Water Lady Script. Open your bag, then go to the Items section. If you have a Water Lady Script with you, you'll find it there. Alternatively, go to the Appearance menu, then select the Appearance button at the bottom-left of the screen, below your weapons.

Making any significant change to the physical structure of your character will consume one Water Lady Script. If you only want to change your makeup or hairstyle, you won't consume anything.

How to Change Hair Color in Where Winds Meet

Go to the Appearance menu, then navigate to the Workshop section. From there, choose the Dye option. Select the hairstyle that you want to dye, then select one of the empty Dye slots for that hairstyle. You have two options when it comes to dyeing your hair:

  • Basic Hair Dye lets you choose from a spectrum of dull, muted colors.
  • Advanced Hair Dye lets you choose from the full range of colors.

The basic dye option offers only dark shades, but to apply them, you'll only need Inkshade Hair Dye. Meanwhile, The advanced option offers the full spectrum and brightness of colors, but it requires Timeless Hairdye. As you probably have guessed by now, Advanced Hair Dye is much harder to get — you can get both dyes by rolling at the WWM gacha banners, but Timeless Hairdye has a smaller chance to drop.

Dyeing clothes is also done at the Workshop section. Instead of picking a dyeable hairstyle, select an outfit instead. Much like dyeing hair, you can use a more accessible dye (Softweave Dye Powder) for muted colors, or a rarer, more expensive dye (Rosycloud Dye Powder) for fancier colors.

Dye schemes can be saved even if you don't have the right types of dye on hand. This way, you can easily apply the scheme you made in the future.

Yes. For this, you'll need a Transformation Pill, which you can buy at the in-game shop for 1280 Echo Beads (premium, top-up only currency). Using this will completely refresh your character's appearance and let you change body types. There doesn't seem to be a limit on how many times you can do it, but it's quite expensive.
