Situated north of Central Hyrule and west of Death Mountain is Tears of the Kingdom's Great Hyrule Forest, with Korok Forest smackdab in the middle of it. For players that are having issues getting through the Lost Woods to find Korok Forest (and the Deku Tree), they can use this handy guide of ours. Once the area underneath the Deku Tree has been cleansed, players can speak to a Korok near the tree named Kula, who has a side quest for Link to complete called 'Whirly Swirly Things.'
One of Kula's friends said they saw a big swirly circle in the water, and he would like a picture of it to see it for himself. Here's where to find the swirly circle he speaks of.
Whirly Swirly Things TotK - Where to Find the Swirly Circle in the Water
The swirly circle in the water is actually just your average whirlpool, and one can be found in the East Reservoir Lake, just southeast of Zora's Domain. Stand in a good spot and snap a photo of the whirlpool with the Camera function on the Purah Pad. The coordinates for the lake are roughly 3524, 0265, 0286, and an image of it can be found below:
Once the snapshot is taken, go ahead and return to Korok Forest to show Kula. However, the side quest is not over just yet. Now, he wants players to show him a picture of a swirly sand circle from the desert.
Whirly Swirly Things TotK - Where to Find the Big Swirly Sand Circle
Head over to the Gerudo Desert, located in the southwestern corner of TotK's map of Hyrule. Head to a named location called East Barrens, which is not far southeast of Gerudo Town. Players will find sinkholes here, as shown in the image below. The coordinates for this location are -2529, -3604, 0010.
Go ahead and snap another photo of the sinkhole and return to Korok Forest to receive a reward from the quest giver. Link will get five Endura Carrots --when cooked, it boosts stamina beyond its max limit.
Endura Carrots can be used in the following recipes:
Roasted Endura Carrot,
Carrot Cake,
Carrot Stew,
Vegetable Curry,
Vegetable Risotto, and
Veggie Cream Soup. When eaten by itself, they will restore two of Link's hearts and four when cooked.
