In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Wild Zone 13 is home to six species of Pokemon, alongside two guaranteed Alpha Pokemon that can appear during different times of the day. Despite the strength of the Pokemon here, Wild Zone 13 is a very small area, dense with some very powerful Bug-type Pokemon.
Players looking to flesh out their party with some new additions will want to know everything about when these Pokemon spawn and the best ways to catch them easily. Here’s the breakdown.

Pinsir Location
- Time: Day/Night
Multiple Pinsir can be spotted in the shaded area among the trees as soon as you enter Wild Zone 13. They will attack you on sight. Pinsirite, the item needed to Mega Evolve Pinsir, can be purchased at the Quasartico Mega Shard Exchange for 240 Mega Shards after Main Mission 15.
Heracross Location
- Time: Day/Night
Heracross is found just past the Pinsir swarm, flying near the western gate of Wild Zone 13. Like the Pinsirite, the Heracronite can be purchased at the Quasartico Mega Shard Exchange as well.
Scyther Location
- Time: Night
Scyther can be found at night, near the swarm of Pinsir on the left side of Wild Zone 13.
Scyther can evolve into Scizor if it is traded while holding a Metal Coat. However, this can only be done in the post-game in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, since Metal Coat isn’t available until then.
Vivillon Location
- Time: Day
Vivillon can be found flying among the berry bushes along the northern edge of Wild Zone 13, in direct sunlight.
You can significantly increase the chance of catching Pinsir, Heracross, Vivillon, and Scyther by using a Net Ball. Net Balls can be purchased at the Poke Ball Boutique for 1,000 Pokedollars each.
Phantump Location
- Time: Night
Phantump can be found near the bushes next to the large building at night.
Use a Dusk Ball at night to increase your chances of capture.
Weepinbell Location
- Time: Day
Weepinbell can be found near the Pinsir swarm during the daytime. Weepinbell evolves into Victreebel using a Leaf Stone. Victreebelite is awarded to players for free as a reward for defeating the Rogue Victreebel during Main Mission 13.
Alpha Trevenant Location
- Time: Night
A level 47 Trevenant rests among the group of Phantump at night. It is extremely aggressive and has multiple AoE attacks that can deal splash damage to the trainer if you’re not careful.
Alpha Weepinbell Location
- Time: Day
A level 46 Alpha Weepinbell can be found among the group of regular Weepinbell during the day.
Destroy the vines with the yellow glow near the Alpha Weepinbell to claim the X-Scissor TM.
