This guide covers how to find all Pokemon in Wild Zone 20, the correct time of day to look for them, as well as some tips and tricks for getting the most out of the area. Here’s the breakdown.

Malamar Location
- Time: Day/Night
There is a deep pool of water with a wooden bridge over it in the southernmost part of Wild Zone 20. Two Malamar can be found floating on top of the water. This spawn point is shared with Dragalge.
Dragalge Location
- Time: Day/Night
Dragalge appear floating on top of the deep pool of water with the wooden bridge in Wild Zone 20. If you see Malamar here instead, reset the zone by fast traveling to it.
Hippowdon Location
- Time: Day/Night
There are two Hippowdon spawns in Wild Zone 20. One can be found directly in front of the southern entrance, and the second can be found directly opposite the western entrance.
Lucario Location
- Time: Day/Night
Two Lucario can be seen on the sandy area with the large rock and the trees between the concrete pavement.
Roselia Location
- Time: Day/Night
Roselia can be found roaming the area between the bushes in the eastern part of Wild Zone 20.
Gardevoir Location
- Time: Day/Night
Two Gardevoir can be found in the garden strip surrounding the Prism Tower. One can be seen in the northeastern part, right next to the north entrance, and the other can be found in the eastern section, right in front of that entrance.
Gardevoir are skittish, meaning they will disappear as soon as they see you approach. The best method of catching them is to sneak up from behind and throw a Quick Ball.
Scrafty Location
- Time: Day/Night
Scrafty can appear in the construction zone in the top left corner of Wild Zone 20, with all the rubble and metal parts. Scraftinite can be purchased at the Quasartico Mega Shard Exchange for 240 Mega Shards after Main Mission 31.
Garbodor Location
- Time: Day/Night
A few Garbodor appear fairly often in the construction area in Wild Zone 20, in between the containers.
Aggron Location
- Time: Day/Night
A single Aggron appears in the construction area in the northwestern section of Wild Zone 20. It is not a guaranteed spawn, but relatively common. Aggronite can be purchased at the Quasartico Mega Shard Exchange for 360 Mega Shards after Main Mission 20.
Charmander Location
- Time: Day/Night
Charmander can be found in one of five possible locations (shown above). As a Fire-type Pokemon, Charmander does not like to go in the water.
The five starter Pokemon available in Wild Zone 20 all share five possible spawn locations. If you don’t find the one you’re looking for, reset the zone by fast traveling and try again.
Tepig Location
- Time: Day/Night
Tepig can be found in one of five possible locations (shown above). It is relatively common among all the other starters available in the area, and you’ll likely find him fairly easily.
Totodile Location
- Time: Day/Night
Totodile can be found in one of five possible locations (shown above). It also sometimes jumps into the water alongside the Dragalge and Malamar, or in the shallow pool that circles the entire Wild Zone.
Bulbasaur Location
- Time: Day/Night
Bulbasaur can be found in one of five possible locations (shown above). It can typically be found sitting near the bushes. Its appearances are relatively rare when compared to the other starters.
Chikorita Location
- Time: Day/Night
Chikorita is the most common starter in Wild Zone 20 after Tepig, spawning in five possible locations in the area.
Squirtle Location
- Time: Day/Night
Squirtle can spawn in five possible locations in Wild Zone 20 (shown above). It is the rarest starter to find in the area, comparable to Charmander, and has a very low catch rate. Using Ultra Balls until it gets angry is recommended to maximize your chances of capture.
Alpha Pokemon in Wild Zone 20
There are two Alpha Pokemon spawn slots in Wild Zone 20, directly in the middle of the area, underneath the broken Prism Tower. Quite a few Pokemon can occupy these slots, meaning every time the area resets, you’re likely to see a new pair of Alpha Pokemon roaming the pit in the middle.
So far, we’ve seen the following Alpha Pokemon make an appearance here:
-
Gengar
-
Altaria
-
Skarmory
-
Metagross
-
Carbink
-
Barbaracle
-
Vanilluxe
-
Hippowdon
-
Gardevoir
-
Victreebel
-
Aegislash
-
Machamp
-
Roserade
From our testing, it appears that only fully evolved Pokemon that are a part of the Kalos Pokedex can appear as their Alpha variants in Wild Zone 20. Notably, even trade-exclusive evolutions like Gengar and Alakazam can be found as Alpha Pokemon here, making it an excellent post-game location to fill out your Pokedex.
