Thanks to iconic magical beings and all sorts of supernatural things, technically, all Supernatural characters could appear in its much-anticipated prequel, The Winchesters. However, there are a few fan-favorite characters that fans would love to see in the prequel. Viewers had a chance to see one of the best Lucifer portrayals on-screen and meet powerful witches and demons who would be a great fit in the new show as well.

Supernatural is among the most creative series of all time and has some of the twistiest stories, shocking surprises, and even one of the greatest musical episodes as well. Thanks to the wide range of characters and the brilliant actors who fully embodied these beings, fans had a chance to enjoy truly unforgettable tv moments.

8 Death

Even though Death only appeared in a few Supernatural episodes, he quickly became one of the most beloved characters. Thanks to Julian Richings' great performance as well as the character's intriguing backstory and powers, fans loved to watch every scene with this iconic character in it.

Death was also one of the most powerful beings in the series who only feared The Darkness. While he wasn't a villainous character, he did cause plenty of problems for the Winchester brothers. The Pale Horseman would surely be a great fit in The Winchesters too.

Cain was another side character with one of the most exciting storylines. If he would appear in The Winchesters, it would certainly cause some truly entertaining twists in the prequel, just as he did in Supernatural. Since John is Cain's vessel, they have a special connection too.

Timothy Michael Omundson did an excellent job at portraying this complex and widely-known Biblical character and turned him into one of the most unforgettable beings in the show. The Father of Murderer was also known to be the most ruthless demon, with plenty of unique qualities that would make him an excellent addition to The Winchesters' already great cast.

6 Rowena MacLeod

Rowena MacLeod single-handedly turned Supernatural into one of the most magical tv shows of all time. She was the strongest witch in the series and one of the most intelligent and cunning ones who outsmarted not only the Winchester brothers but Castiel, Lucifer, and his son plenty of times.

Rowena was one of the most interesting recurring characters in the series and eventually became the Queen of Hell. Since this iconic natural witch was around since the 17th century, she had a lot of experience and knowledge when it came to all things supernatural. Thanks to Ruth Connell's unforgettable performances Rowena also became one of the most beloved characters, even as a villain, and fans would be happy to see her in the prequel too.

5 Crowley

Crowley, just like her mother Rowena, was one of the most popular recurring characters in Supernatural. He was not only one of the most powerful demons, but thanks to his ambitions and intellect, he also became the King of the Crossroads and the King of Hell. Thanks to him, Superntarual had more exciting demon appearances than some of the most iconic movies about demonic possessions.

Mark Sheppard turned this character into Supernatural' s most beloved anti-hero, who was usually a part of the show's most intense and funniest moments. This witty, powerful, and wickedly smart character would surely make The Winchesters' episodes even better as well.

4 Castiel

Castiel was all Supernatural fans' favorite angel who was one of the most powerful beings in the entire series. He quickly became The Winchester brothers' strongest and most trusted ally who fought by their side and even sacrificed his life for them.

Thanks to Misha Collins' brilliant acting skills, Castiel was not only the most memorable angel but also one of the funniest and most wholesome characters in Supernatural. He had the most intimate relationship with Dean, and many fans even became Destiel shippers. While most fans weren't happy with how Dean and Castiel's last conversation ended, they would still surely love to see this iconic Supernatural character in the prequel too.

3 Bobby Singer

Bobby Singer was one of the greatest screen stepfathers since he was practically The Winchester brothers' adopted dad, who in many ways was a way better father figure in their lives than their actual father, John.

He was one of the most experienced veteran hunters in Supernatural who helped out the boys and their father countless times. He was Sam and Dean's most trusted and loved ally, and thanks to Jim Beaver's brilliant portrayal of this grumpy and loveably hunter, he immediately became an absolute fan favorite. It's not a question that most fans hope to meet Bobby again in The Winchesters as well.

2 Sam Winchester

Sam Winchester was Supernatural's baddest good boy who made some terrible but pretty entertaining choices that turned Supernatural into one of the most thrilling series that are actually scary. Even though Sam was a mere human, he was still one of the strongest characters who were able to kill all kinds of supernatural creatures.

Sam was one of the most intelligent characters in Supernatural, who somehow also managed to make some of the most idiotic choices. Jared Padalecki put his heart into this tortured character and turned Sam into one of the most complex and beloved tv characters of all time. Supernatural fans would be surely happy to see Sam in The Winchesters too.

1 Dean Winchester

Dean Winchester was the funniest and most beloved character in Supernatural who always sacrificed himself for his brother and to save innocents. Fans are still fondly remembering some of the best Dean moments that made this intense show much more hilarious and wholesome.

Dean was also the most powerful hunter in the series who always managed to stay clear-headed and never lost his moral compass. He also had to make some of the hardest choices in the entire show. Fans would surely love to meet him again in the prequel and see a couple of scenes where Dean is actually happy and has a bit of time to enjoy himself.
