It was an extremely eventful Sunday for Wind Breaker as a brand-new trailer, teaser visual, staff, new cast members and the premiere date of the second season were revealed at an event held on Sunday, October 13; with a videogame adaptation of the series also revealed.

The second season of the anime adaptation of Satoru Nii's Wind Breaker manga is set to premiere in April 2025, a year after the premiere of the first season in Spring. The teaser visual features the tagline, "The heroes of the town face a new battle", referencing the upcoming battle between Bōfurin and KEEL.

New Staff and Cast Announced

The second season of Wind Breaker is currently under production by staff at CloverWorks, with various staff members from the first season returning to work on season 2; including director Toshifumi Akai (character design, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic), with series composition once again by Hiroshi Seko (series composition, Jujutsu Kaisen), character designs by series chief animation director Taishi Kawakami (key animation, Evangelion: 3.0 [-46h]) now joined in the role by Yūsuke Tanaka (chief animation director, Vividred Operation), action director Kazuyuki Asaka (key animation, Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie).

Colour designer Asuka Yokota (colour design, Black Butler: Public School Arc is now joined in the role by Kyōko Hara, while Ryō Takahashi (is once again in charge of the music. Yasunao Moriyasu joins and is responsible for art setting. The cast is joined by Ryōta Ōsaka, who will play Tasuku Tsubakino, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Bōfūrin. The second season of Wind Breaker will premiere in April 2025. The Wind Breaker videogame adaptation announced alongside the season 2 release date is titled Wind Breaker: Heroic Tales of Delinquents, and a visual and teaser trailer were released for the game as well.

Satoru Nii's Wind Breaker manga was launched on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app in January 2021, and has since been collected into 19 volumes. The series is set in a high school for delinquents who are heroes who protect their town from harm.

Haruka Sakura has no interest in anything but the strongest people, and only cares about fighting his way to the top, so when he joins Furin High, he doesn't take too well to being in a team. The first season began airing on April 4, and was streamed by Crunchyroll as it aired. There will be a stage play adaptation of the manga running in Osaka from January 1-3 and in Tokyo from January 10-19.
