The anime industry does not have an off-season. Just as one batch finishes airing, a new lineup debuts featuring more than 40 series that combine to cover most genres, themes, and preferences. The Winter 2025 anime lineup is not an exception in any shape or form, serving up a respectable range of sequels and newcomers.

Solo Leveling, The Apothecary Diaries, Dr. Stone, My Happy Marriage, 100 Girlfriends, and Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun have hogged most of the attention as they already have successful seasons under their belts, and they are mostly living up to their previous standards. When it comes to new series, Sakamoto Days, Zenshu, and Honey Lemon Soda are just a couple that have left their marks, and they are hardly the only ones.

As has become standard nowadays, Winter 2025's anime are spread across a plethora of streaming services. Crunchyroll, HIDIVE, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video all have exclusive shows, so watching everything requires quite an investment. Consequently, it generally makes more sense to simply pick one or two platforms that offer the most attractive content. Consequently, let's go through where to watch every Winter 2025 anime.

Crunchyroll Winter 2025 Anime Lineup

Solo Leveling, Dr. Stone, The Apothecary Diaries, & More

Crunchyroll's Winter 2025 anime lineup is comfortably the largest and most diverse, which is the case for every season. While there is a small chance the platform could reveal another show, in all likelihood, the lineup is complete and will receive no more additions.

As always, the streaming service has a good mix of new anime and sequels covering quite a wide range of genres and themes. Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- is unquestionably the biggest series as part of this season, and it is exclusively available on Crunchyroll. The first season delivered great action, and there is nothing to suggest the sequel will fail to live up to its predecessor's quality. When it comes to other notable Winter 2025 sequels, Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, The Apothecary Diaries, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You, Dr. Stone, Blue Exorcist, Grisaia Phantom Trigger, Unnamed Memory, and Link Click are all on Crunchyroll. Re:Zero and Shangri-La Frontier will also continue to release new episodes, as will Dragon Ball Daima.

While overshadowed by the returning names, Crunchyroll's new shows are also quite exciting. I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class, Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms, and Okitsura have both comedy and romance fans covered. Meanwhile, people craving isekai can check out Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!, The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World, and The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World, just to name a few.

As always, Crunchyroll's Winter 2025 anime lineup includes a range of dubs, with the service so far announcing its English shows. That said, a few more language dubs will likely be revealed in the future, with Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu being guaranteed.

From Bureaucrat to Villainess, Flower and Asura, & More

In recent seasons, HIDIVE has targeted a niche for its seasonal anime: fanservice. Due to seemingly having fewer restrictions than its competitors, the streaming platform has become the go-to place for shows that might push the envelope in terms of sexual content. HIDIVE's Winter 2025 anime lineup continues this trend, with Beheneko: The Elf-Girl's Cat is Secretly an S-Ranked Monster! And I'm Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? Falling under the ecchi banner. The former is a fantasy reincarnation story about a cat monster who ends up in a party with nothing but women. The latter is a romance slice of life about a ninja girl who wants to spend all of her free time playing games.

Now, to be clear, HIDIVE does not exclusively specialize in these types of anime. Flower and Asura, From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated!, and Sorairo Utility have almost no fanservice whatsoever, and they are all shaping up to be good in their own right. The latter is a sports anime about a girl who discovers a passion for golf, and Flower and Asura is a slice of life revolving around a school's broadcasting club. Finally, From Bureaucrat to Villainess is a pretty hilarious isekai anime about a dad who finds himself playing the part of an otome game's antagonist.

Netflix Winter 2025 Anime Lineup

Sakamoto Days, My Happy Marriage, & More

Although not competing with Crunchyroll in quantity, Netflix's recent anime lineups have generally been impressive, usually including a couple of each season's biggest shows. A strong argument could be made that Netflix has the second-best lineup for Winter 2025, especially if Fall 2024 continuations are included. While still difficult to 100% recommend solely for its simulcast anime, people with a Netflix subscription can look forward to a few exciting weekly episodes.

Putting the Fall 2024 series to the side for the moment, Netflix has two HUGE Winter 2025 anime: Sakamoto Days and My Happy Marriage Season 2. Except for a handful of sequels, the former was the most hyped show of the season, even if some of that excitement was neutered by underwhelming marketing footage. Regardless of the quality of the adaptation, which seems to be decent so far, Sakamoto Days is a big exclusive that should be among Winter 2025's most discussed anime.

My Happy Marriage is the season's standout romance anime, with its biggest competition being Fall 2024's Blue Box (another Netflix exclusive). Blending romance, drama, and fantasy, season 2 builds nicely on its predecessor's ideas, all the while shining a light on Kioyoka's family life. Netflix is also streaming Babanba Banban Vampire and Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc Season 2, which are considerably more niche releases. The former is a boys love comedy about a vampire who wants to preserve a boy's virginity until he turns 18. Meanwhile, Kinnikuman is a well-established shonen franchise that has been around for decades.

Netflix complements these newcomers with a couple of major Fall 2024 leftovers. Blue Box, Dragon Ball DAIMA, and Orb: On the Movements of the Earth are all fantastic and offer widely different experiences.

Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, & YouTube Winter 2025 Anime Lineup

Ubel Blatt, Medalist, & More

Crunchyroll is the main venue for Winter 2025 anime, with HIDIVE and Netflix coming in as the secondary options. However, a few other services will be airing shows during this quarter, and they even have a couple of exciting exclusives that could make an investment worthwhile. That said, the lack of options means that these lineups will likely not justify dedicated subscriptions, but they would be fun bonuses for people who already utilize these platforms.

Amazon Prime Video always receives at least one simulcast exclusive, and there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason behind the show's selection. For Winter 2025, Ubel Blatt is available with a Prime Video subscription, which is a relatively big get for the service. Etorouji Shiono's seinen manga lasted for roughly 15 years, producing 24 volumes and 170 chapters in the process. A sequel even debuted in 2024, so the property is successful. Honestly, it is kind of surprising that it took this long for an adaptation to happen, but that could be explained by Ubel Blatt being a dark fantasy with limited mainstream appeal.

Hulu's Winter 2025 anime lineup is quality over quantity. Dragon Ball Daima is the biggest name, although that anime is available on a myriad of other platforms. When it comes to completely new shows, Ishura Season 2 and Medalist are airing on Hulu, and they both have the potential to be among the season's nicest surprises. The former is an action-packed dark fantasy isekai anime that had a polarizing opening season, mostly due to the creative decision to dedicate the first few episodes to introducing the different characters. Season 1 became pretty great by the end of its run, and season 2 seems to be extending that momentum. Medalist is a great option for sports fans, with the anime blending drama, humor, and heart.

Winter 2025 Anime With No Western Streaming Platforms

Can You Keep a Secret? & More

Every season has a couple of anime that do not come to Western platforms, and they are usually kids shows or extremely niche. Surprisingly, Winter 2025's I Have a Crush at Work/Can You Keep a Secret? Has not announced plans to stream on any service, at least not up to this point, despite being one of the season's biggest romances.
