While many can be wielded from level one, others will require players to grind and overcome obstacles throughout The Continent to level up and reach the prerequisites. 22 Bloodsword

20 Viroledan Blade

The Viroledan Blade is a craftable Steel Sword suitable for the mid to late game in The Witcher 3. It has decent stats for its level, and three rune slots available for customization. But what makes it special, however, are its bonus perks. For starters, the Viroledan Blade comes with +75% critical hit damage bonus and +15% critical hit chance, making it highly suitable for critical hit builds. The cherry on top, however, is the +3% Chance for instant kill, giving Geralt a small chance to simply execute an opponent, regardless of their total health.

The recipe for the Viroledan Blade can be found in a chest in the Tulasens Caves, a location found in the eastern part of Toussaint, in the Blood and Wine DLC. The chest also contains recipes for two leg armor pieces as well. Players visit the Tulasens Caves in the “Knight for Hire” questline, which can be triggered from the notice board in the main city.
