A Witcher fan has recently amazed the series’ community by sharing a picture of her incredible Ciri cosplay. Ciri is among the most popular characters in The Witcher, and this fan’s work is an excellent recreation of the iconic heroine.

First appearing onscreen in the games during The Witcher 3, Ciri is the powerful adoptive daughter of the protagonist Geralt. Last year, CD Projekt Red confirmed that Ciri would be The Witcher 4’s protagonist. At the time, a new visual for the character was unveiled with a short trailer that gave gamers their first glimpse of the upcoming title. Unfortunately, The Witcher 4 still does not have a release date, but gamers are already hyped for it.

Now, a cosplayer called arlequisse showcased her creation with the community, showing off a picture of her Ciri cosplay, which was seen holding a sword. The post quickly became popular with other fans, obtaining over 1,300 upvotes and several compliments, as many gamers loved the cosplay and praised arlequisse’s work.

The Witcher Fan Creates Incredible Ciri Cosplay

Arlequisse is not the only fan to show an amazing Ciri cosplay to the Witcher community recently. Earlier this year, for example, another cosplayer did the same, sharing a video of her dressed as the character in several poses and becoming quite popular, too.

While the decision to make Ciri the protagonist of The Witcher 4 was met with enthusiasm by most fans, a part of the fanbase disliked the move. This recently prompted Geralt’s actor to defend the choice of picking Ciri for the next Witcher game. According to Doug Cockle, a new, “cool” character for the series is a good change, and Geralt simply could not be the protagonist forever. He also called out individuals who said that the decision to feature Ciri was “woke,” adding that fans who read the books know that there’s plenty of lore to explore about the character.

A few months ago, CD Projekt Red also addressed The Witcher 4. At the time, the game’s lead writer, Marcin Blacha, said that he was feeling “pretty confident” in the game’s success, as the developers had built a good relationship with the fans, despite not being the original creators of the characters. It’s likely that more information about The Witcher 4 could surface soon, as CDPR ramps up the marketing around the game and its release date becomes nearer. In the meantime, fans such as arlequisse can at least entertain the fanbase with their high-quality work.
