Summary
- Destruction Bullets are the most basic type of bullet in Wizard with a Gun, best for destroying objects rather than combat.
- Cold Bullets are decent in every category, dealing decent damage, slowing enemies down, and making it easier to traverse through water.
- Shocking Bullets are considered the best general DPS-type bullets, dealing great damage, chaining between enemies, and creating extra resources.
Bullets are sort of everything in a game like Wizard with a Gun. In this game, guns are equivalent to a mage's wand and the bullets are their spells. So, without bullets, these firearm mages can't cast any magic.
21 Best Third-Person Action-Adventure Games Of All Time, Ranked
The third-person action-adventure genre is broad and omnipresent, but here are some titles that really stood out among a crowd of copycats.
There is a pretty wide variety of different Bullets in Wizard with a Gun, from basic destruction Bullets to ones that Charm enemies to the player's side. With that in mind, let's go over the best Bullets players can use in this game, and how they stack up compared to one another.

Starting things off with the Bullet everyone starts off with in Wizard with a Gun, Destruction Bullets. These are the most basic of basic bullets that are best utilized for destroying objects rather than combat (most of the time).
These Bullets deal flat damage, and as players progress through the four Riders of the survival story campaign they'll slowly unlock the ability to craft higher-tier variants of the Destruction Bullets. If players have the resources to craft any other type of Bullet, that will likely be a better choice.
9 Cold Bullet

Cold Bullet IV |

Cold Bullets are probably the best example on here of a Bullet type players use while working their way up to something better, besides maybe Burning Bullets. It's not that Cold Bullets are bad by any sense of the word, but it's more like Freezing Bullets are just by far the best Frost-type Bullets to use.
That said, Cold Bullets are pretty decent in every category. They deal decent damage, don't cost much to build, slow enemies down by applying Cold to them, and can even make it a bit less annoying to traverse through the water.
8 Burning Bullet

Burning Bullet IV |

1 Desiccated Wood & 1 Steel Ingot |
Burning Bullets are probably best described as the 'bane' of early-game co-op campaign runs. Because it's so easy to research and craft these Bullets, a lot of players start using them right after they place their Loading Station for the first time.
The 7 Hardest PS5 Horror Games, Ranked
These horror games available on the PlayStation 5 come with plenty of challenges in various styles for players.
However, while it can be nice in single-player to have fire spread and deal constant damage to enemies in an area, it's a bit of a pain in co-op (which these types of games are known for) since this same fire can hurt allies. Plus, once players start getting into the Lightning category of Bullets, they almost always leave Burning Bullets behind.
7 Poison Bullet

Poison Bullet III |
30 |
1 Moderate Poison & 1 Cobalt Ingot |
|
|
Poison Bullet IV |
36 |
1 Potent Poison & 1 Steel Ingot |
Between Poison Bullets and Burning Bullets, Poison Bullets feel a bit weaker in the early game when it comes to damage over time. However, as players level up their Poison Bullets and eventually research the whole tree of Disease Bullets, they start to massively outclass any sort of burn damage. While Disease Bullets are in a whole category of their own, Poison Bullet DoT really makes an impact the more you invest in it.
6 Freezing Bullet

2 Ice Chunks |
Freezing Bullets are not only just a better version of Stun Bullets, but they're also useful in co-op, great for dealing huge amounts of burst damage, and are also a very nice way to farm Ice Chunk resources.
That said, because these Bullets don't deal any damage on their own, in combat they are incredibly dependent on other Bullet types to be useful at all. To get that huge amount of Burst damage, all players need to do is use these Bullets to freeze their enemy, and then use any other type of Bullet that deals damage to 'break' the ice, and this will trigger a huge damage reaction on the frozen (now free) enemy.
5 Shocking Bullet

Shocking Bullet III |
88.0 |
3 Stone & 1 Cobalt Ingot |
|
|
Shocking Bullet IV |
105.6 |
1 Salt Chunk & 1 Steel Ingot |
This could just be some bias showing, but it really feels like Shocking Bullets are the best general DPS-type Bullets in Wizard with a Gun. They deal great damage, they chain between enemies (and objects), they work well in any firearm variation, and they can create extra resources depending on what they're used to break.
Hollow Knight: 24 Hardest Bosses, Ranked
Hollow Knight is full of challenging boss fights, but several of them take that challenge to another level. Here are the hardest bosses in the game.
However, in a congested area of objects and enemies, the damage and spread so thin that these Bullets don't feel like they're making much of an impact at all, so they're a bit more situational than some other Bullets.

Turning enemies into allies or 'summoning' allies can be really hit or miss depending on the game. Some games integrate this mechanic in some way but it's very weak, while others make it way too strong.
Wizard with a Gun seems to fall squarely in the middle, as using Charming Bullets to bring enemies over to the player's side takes a good amount of time, and they don't tend to live all that long. It can be a bit of a weird mechanic to play around, but if players can properly look over their newfound allies and use them in the right situation, they can make some of the hardest encounters in the game much easier overall.
3 Sepsis Bullet

Sepsis Bullet |
12.5 x # of Poison Stacks |
1 Cobalt Ingot & 1 Potent Poison |
It's rather easy to keep an enemy at max Poison Stacks in this game, especially if the player is using the Machine Wand to do so. However, once they're at max stacks, the player using Poison Bullets doesn't tend to feel like they're 'contributing' all too much.
However, if they use Sepsis Bullets alongside Poison Bullets, their DPS output will jump massively, thanks to the Sepsis Bullets basically resetting the stacks in exchange for some massive instant damage.
2 Lightning Strike Bullet

Lightning Strike Bullets might, at a glance, look like they're the direct upgrade to Shocking Bullets, but they're actually relatively specialized. These Bullets output some of the highest damage numbers in the game by calling down Lightning wherever they make contact.
But, in exchange, the cooldown between shots is at least 5-10 times longer than with any other Bullet Type. Because of this, it's almost always recommended to use these Bullets alongside Shocking Bullets or another short cooldown option.
1 Order Bullets

Order Bullet III |

1 Cobalt Ingot & 1 Kolbara Fruit |
|
|
Order Bullet IV |
172.8 |
1 Steel Ingot & 1 Cactus Fruit |
Last up and in first place are Order Bullets, this may be a surprise pick for some Wizard with a Gun players, considering this Bullet Type is a bit boring compared to a lot of the Elemental Bullet types. However, the reason they rank first is simple, Order Bullets sort of do everything.
They deal immense damage to Chaos enemies, they heal Mechana allies who have been brainwashed with Charming Bullets, and they even deal decent damage to non-Chaos enemies. There is no better Bullet Type for farming and managing Chaos resources while hanging around after the timer runs out, and they work hand in hand with Charming Bullets.
