When players first make their way into Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's Hidden Village, they will likely notice a small, loot-filled area that appears to be inaccessible. The entire area is clearly visible, but when players trace the path back to its entrance, they will discover a small house that blocks the only viable path. Interacting with the front door at this point will simply result in a 'locked' icon appearing. To begin the journey required to find the keys, the player must speak with the woman standing directly next to the house.

While not technically marked as one of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's official side-quests, acquiring both of the Taoist house keys will take players across a large chunk of the game. There are two main keys the player must find to unlock the Taoist's house, allowing for access to the first piece of loot in the backyard. The final section of this 'quest' will require the player to trade specific materials to the Taosit in exchange for the final keys.

The Taoist's home is located deep in the heart of the Hidden Village. From the starting point, the player can make their way down to the forge, then head on to the next platform. The loot will be visible off to the right, begging the player to fall repeatedly while trying to find some way to reach it. The Taoist can be seen standing outside of her home, available for any key-related questions.

When approaching the woman who owns the locked house, interacting with her will reveal a clue to the location of the key. She mentions that she lost the key while going up the mountain to train, and that's it. It's not much to go on, and many players may think the key will be found someplace within the Hidden Village. It is a reasonable assumption, given that the game gives the player so little to go off. Unfortunately, the key is not in the Hidden Village.

The Taoist House Key is located in the Part 3 quest, "In Search of the Immortal Wizard." It is one of the 'main battlefield' missions, making it part of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's main story. Players must make their way through this mission to continue through the game.

The key is located near the very end of the stage, just after fighting Zhupolong, the demon crocodile. After raising the final battle flag, players should exit the cave. Immediately after leaving, the key will be found in a small alcove in the rock. They can collect the key and then complete the level to move on. Unlocking the front door will reward the player with Bronze Duel Swords, but the best loot is found outside.

The key to the Taoist's back door is located in the Part 5 quest "War's Flame Blaze Fiercely." To reach it, players should head through the level until entering the room with the dragon's head entrance. It is virtually impossible to miss, as the head is very distinct.

The room will be filled with water at first, but, once emptied, the key can be found. It will be located in a small alcove to the left of the entrance. Players should watch for several shuigui (mermaid demons) patrolling the area, as they can be formidable opponents when in a group.

Once the backdoor is open, the player will be able to retrieve the Dragon Vein Essence. However, the three chests will require three more keys that must be acquired from the Taoist herself.
