Wolverine is getting his own bizarre Xbox controller to match the recently revealed Deadpool model. Marvel fans are looking forward to seeing the duo team up on the silver screen in Deadpool & Wolverine, with many particularly excited to see Hugh Jackman donning a comic-accurate yellow suit after nearly 24 years of live-action X-Men films. In honor of the movie's release, Xbox is hosting a special Deadpool & Wolverine contest with a cheeky prize worthy of Wade Wilson’s brand of off-the-wall humor.

The prize is the appropriately named “Cheeky Controller,” a red Xbox Wireless controller themed after Deadpool’s famous costume. The most striking and outlandish part of this special Xbox gamepad is the back, which features a sculpted rear-end inspired by the popular character. Players who enter the ongoing Xbox Cheeky Controller Sweepstakes can win two of these zany controllers alongside a special-edition Deadpool & Wolverine Xbox Series X and a stand featuring foam replicas of Deadpool’s signature katana.

Not to be outdone, Wolverine is answering Xbox’s latest promotional contest with a cheeky controller of his own. In response to fan interest in a similar Wolverine-themed gamepad, Xbox has announced a custom Xbox Wireless controller themed after Logan’s new yellow-and-blue outfit from Deadpool & Wolverine. Just like the Deadpool controller, this new Wolverine variant features a sculpted butt on the back that represents Logan’s “Adamantium-tough tush,” though it also features back pockets and blue assents along the sides.

Wolverine Gets His Own Cheeky Xbox Controller

So far, it isn’t clear if there will be a matching Xbox Series X console to accompany the newly announced Wolverine Cheeky Controller. The marketing for this strange new Xbox controller is already as bizarre as the product itself, as Xbox recently put up a billboard of Deadpool promoting the Wolverine controller in Alberta, Canada. As many Marvel fans know, both Logan and Wade Wilson hail from the Great White North (just like Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds), making the location of this promotional billboard quite fitting.

Excitement for Deadpool & Wolverine is at a fever pitch ahead of its release on July 26, both for the nostalgia of seeing Hugh Jackman reprise his iconic role once again and the potential start of a new, mutant-filled era for the MCU. In the meantime, Xbox is promoting the upcoming superhero blockbuster with not one, but two irreverently designed controllers that would make Wade himself proud.
