Wordle is a simple game, but it can be difficult to master. In order to play, word puzzle fans will want to first learn the rules and little bit of strategy for winning Wordle. And if all else fails, players can also scroll to the bottom of this article and get the spoiler for today's puzzle.

First, make sure to head to the right version of Wordle. While there are many Wordle copycats out there, the original is hosted on the New York Times Games site and the New York Times Crossword App. Other versions will have answers different from what is listed here, and many clones also have slightly different rules. Here's how to play the NYT version.

Choose a great starting Wordle word. This word should have five different letters and at least two vowels. This word should also not be a plural noun ending in S, an offensive word, or a previous Wordle answer.
Type the starter word into the site, then press enter.
The letters will change to one of three colors: green, gray, or yellow.
Green letters are right.
Gray letters are wrong.
Yellow letters are right but in the wrong place in the word.
Given these clues, try yet another word.
Press enter.
This word's letters will also change colors.
Players need to keep trying new words and getting new clues until they run out of tries, or they guess the answer correctly.

After the puzzle is complete, the menu will appear.
