World of Warcraft has begun Children’s Week with a massive refresh to the holiday, including four orphans and questlines in Dornogal, the Well-loved Figure currency, and new pets and transmogs to collect. The holiday is live in World of Warcraft from now until May 5, so fans should be sure to check out the revamped event before it ends.

Children’s Week is a short holiday and in-game event in World of Warcraft where players can temporarily adopt orphans from Azeroth’s many wars and journey across the world, completing quests along the way. Though the holiday has received updates in the past, the last major addition to it was during Battle for Azeroth, with new orphans available in Boralus and Dazar’alor.

World of Warcraft Teases Player Housing Rewards

Blizzard gives World of Warcraft players an early glimpse of how some housing items will be obtained in the upcoming Midnight expansion.

Now, six years after the last update, World of Warcraft has finally added a bunch of new content for Children’s Week. Four orphans from several of the major Renown factions from World of Warcraft: The War Within can now be adopted: Skibbles the Kobold, Destien the Arathi, Kitzy the Goblin, and Threadis the Nerubian. Quests for these children can be picked up from Ullna, the Earthen Matron in Training located in Dornogal, from now through May 4, alongside all previous quests and content.

No new achievements have been added to the holiday beyond those already available, including the For the Children meta-achievement. Fans working towards the greater What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been holiday meta-achievement in World of Warcraft can still complete these tasks to work towards the Violet Proto-Drake mount as in previous years.

Children’s Week has also returned to WoW Classic during the same period. Players in Season of Discovery and Classic Era can head to Orphan Matron Nightingale in Stormwind for the Alliance and Orphan Matron Battlewail in Orgrimmar for the Horde, while Cataclysm Classic fans of both factions can also travel to Orphan Matron Mercy in Shattrath or Orphan Matron Aria in Dalaran, to adopt an orphan and begin the holiday event. Completing these questlines is a great way to earn experience, reputation, and some charming pets, so World of Warcraft Classic players looking to boost their characters should consider visiting these orphanages during the event.
