The World of Warcraft continues to expand, and in addition to the new content in Dragonflight, the Classic version also has some shiny new content. The Argent Tournament was recently added to the game, and there are more dailies, more reputation to earn, and two new instances to master.
To lead players into the story and improve the immersion factor overall, parts of the tournament grounds are still under construction. Players can meet the resident goblin carpenters and masons to help out while it lasts and make some extra gold.
The current state of the Argent Tournament is in Phase 2, which means the Coliseum and the dungeon and raid within are not yet available. The 5-player dungeon is The Trial of the Crusader, and the raid ups the ante with The Trial of the Grand Crusader. Information about both is still included for future reference.
The Argent Tournament
The Argent Crusade is a faction that players already know. Fighting the Scourge and the Lich King is their sworn purpose, and they've extended their reach from their base in the Eastern Plaguelands within a lance throw of the Frozen Throne.
Their new faction is the same as the old faction, the Argent Crusade, when it comes to grinding rep. The other factions are representatives of the Horde and Alliance cities. Each player starts with their own race and faction when it comes to raising their rank within the tournament.
Once a player speaks to Justicar Mariel Trueheart in the Argent Pavilion, they're sent to their own faction's representative to officially enroll in the tournament.
Tournament Currencies
- Aspirant's Seals. Used when the player is in their earliest stages of training.
- Valiant's Seals. The currency that's required to advance from Valiant to Champion.
- Marks of the Valiant. Earned as part of a daily quest, The Grand Melee, one of these is awarded for each Valiant the player defeats.
- Champion's Seals. The currency used to buy gear, mounts, and non-combat pets from the Quartermasters.

Jousting
Most of the activities at the Argent Tournament, including the dungeon and the raid, depend on a character's jousting ability. Some of the first quests that characters take upon arrival, such as Master of Melee, Mastery of the Shield-Breaker, and Mastery of the Charge, help train in these unique abilities.
This evolves into a single quest, Learning the Reins when the player advances to Aspirant.
Valiants can go to Icecrown and test their skills in the field of battle against flying targets, infantry, and mounted knights with a quest called At The Enemy's Gates.
The Black Knight Questline
Crusader Rhydalla is in the Argent Pavilion, in the room behind the Justicar. She's suspicious of the Black Knight's origins and motives, and recruits the player to help her with an investigation. The quest line is available even if the player isn't participating in the tournament, but only characters who advance to Champion can finish the whole thing.

The Dungeons
The Summoning Stone for both of these instances is on the eastern end of the building and only works for players level 79 or 80. Players use lances and mounts, relying on their skills as riders and jousters when they face the various bosses. The whole instance takes place in the Coliseum, a single room, instead of players exploring a conventional dungeon.
Trial Of The Champion is the 5-player version, and it's available in Normal, Heroic, or Heroic + modes. The Trail of the Grand Crusader is the same thing but a raid for 10 players. It has the same level of difficulty and rewards as Naxxramus.
The Argent Tournament Grounds
The first time a player wants to go to the Argent Tournament grounds, which are located in a far northern corner of Northrend between the border of Icecrown and Storm Peaks, they can get a free, direct flight. Jean Pierre Poulain is waiting on Krasus Landing to lend hopeful Crusaders a hippogryph ride directly to the grounds. Don't forget to grab the flight plan before heading back, because this is a one-time-only gift.
The whole region is the same as a city, with all of the conveniences that most small towns in World of Warcraft. The raid and dungeon are centrally located, with the Horde area on the southeast side, the Alliance area on the northeast side, and the Argent Pavilion located on the southwestern corner.
The Argent Pavilion
In the neutral area of the tournament grounds where both Horde and Alliance are welcome, there are some important NPCs that every player must visit.

Cellian Daybreak |
Once a player has advanced beyond the rank of Aspirant, they get access to new daily quests from their race and faction representative. These can be found in the Silver Covenant Pavilion for Alliance players or in the Sunreaver's Pavilion for Horde players.
For players who are Death Knights, they have a new quest giver instead of Eadric The Pure and his companions. They'll be sent to speak to the Scourgebane, a representative of the Knights of the Ebon Blade. Their quest-givers are Illyrie Nightfall, Crok Scourgebane and Zor'be the Bloodletter. These NPCs have their own camp west of the Alliance Valiant's Ring.
The Silver Covenant Pavilion
This is where new and experienced tournament participants who belong to an Alliance race can find the quest givers and quartermasters for their faction.
The innkeepers in each tent are located across from the Aspirant quest-givers. They don't buy or sell goods but only provide a place to set a Hearthstone.
Innkeeper Caris Sunlance is in the Silver Covenant Pavilion. Innkeeper Darninglow is the counterpart in the Sunreaver's Pavilion.

The Exterior Vendors
Players can buy the usual basic supplies in the outdoor marketplace that lines the coliseum and combat areas. They carry consumables and provide repairs, along with providing some special items.
- Regents. Julie Osworth can be found on the eastern side of the Ring of Champions.
- Beverages. Jenna Thunderbrew sells frothy drinks opposite the entrance to the Silver Covenant Pavilion. Tingiyok and Torngasak are two Kalu'ak who also sell beverages but of the local variety. Both can be found on the far northern side of the tournament grounds.
- Food. Makuli sells his fresh food across from the Sunreaver's pavilion. Ellia Moondancer is another food vendor on the opposite side of the same wall. Akrittok stands with his brother on the northern side of the grounds.
- Repairs. The Blacksmithing trainer and Engineering trainer can provide repairs. Look for them on the north side of the Coliseum wall.
- Souvenirs. The booth of Broxel Gooldgrasp sells doublets, which are like tabards, for each city faction.
The Profession Trainers
Most of the same Grand Mastery trainers that are available in Darassus can also be found on the Argent Tournament grounds. They're lining the northern side of the Coliseum wall to the left of the tunnel that leads north from the flight path. Each trainer is accompanied by another NPC that sells the products needed for that profession.
